My First HVX Short!

This was shot in December, when I didn't have my P2 card yet. So it's SD, but even SD on this camera looks far superior to my old camera.

I usually end up taking way to long editing my own stuff just because I want everything to be right, but I finally decided that this is finished, and it's time to share it!

The movie is about two guys on a quest to make the perfect bowl of soup. Kinda. You'll just have to watch it, I think.

Sapidity (9.5 mins, ~22mb)

I hope you enjoy it!

The first few minutes I was interested, up until the Rosemary part, then it completely lost me. Also, there was a lot of jagged edges probably due to compression.

One thing I would say though, the sound was ok (what mic did you use) and the larger guys acting was decent.

Thanks for watching! Sorry it lost you. The only thing I can say is to watch it again, maybe? Did you continue watching after that point, or did you give up entirely? I think the rosemary part slows down the pacing too much, but it's a great improvement over the scene I used to have there. But I think it picks up again after the animation stuff.

Yeah the jagged lines are due to compression.

i was laughing at the salesman and how many times the guy slammed the door in his face but i shut it off as soon as i saw the two guys in the bed together, lol. sorry. only thing that seemed to need work was the compression. oh, after a coupla minutes i couldnt really tell where the story was going either. i may have bailed out too early though. good luck though man!

I guess if you can't watch more than a few minutes of a short film to see where it's going, it's probably better off that you stopped. :)

Seriously though, it's not THAT long, and I promise nothing gay happens. It really does pick up after the point you closed it, I promise. It's a 9 minute film, and you watched like less than 3. :)
