Peg that baby to the red dot max!

Red audio dots are rare as hen's teeth on my DVXb.
Audio comes out really low. Adjusting the -50/-60 db levels and the gain knobs produce little result.

So what I would like to do is to set the DVX on board mics to absolute maximum sensitivity.
- Make it so that a loud voice will keep all the red dots stay on all the time (or almost all the time) if possible.

Don't worry. . .I'll back it off - this is just for testing purposes.
Can someone tell me what settings to make to achieve this result?

Make sure in your menu you have "ALC" set to OFF. That will probably help you see those rare red dots.

Thank you RossS -

Settings are:
Audio: Rec: 48K (16 bit)
Mic ALC: OFF
Gain: -60 DB

I wish there were a standardized test for this sort of thing.
