i used to have a vx2100 (sony) now i am moving to a 100b,

if i were to get one used it would have hours on it...

whats a good amount of hours for a video camera...

someone emailed me about one with 150 hours... is that alot a little...?

i dont even know how the 100b counts hours...

any help is great
thanks

The DVX manual states that it is advised to change the camera's head at 2000 hour mark. So to maintain good quality recording. so i really have no idea what is too much and what is O.K for you.

I use to have a PDX10. by the time i sold it, the camera states 9x 10 head = 90 hours.

Some buyers said that is too much, but the person said that bought it from me like the hours he saw.

150 hours is nothing!!

I doubt anyone buying a DVX today would still be using it by the time the head reaches 2000 hours. Even if you're an industrial user clocking up 300 hours per year, the heads should last you a good 6 years (say 5 if you abuse the cam.)
In my business the cam would have paid for it self over 10 times.

When buying any S/H cam, the only thing I'd be worried about is what MiniDV tapes & environment the cam was used in.
