Thoughts and Prayers Needed!!!!!!!

Man this is amazing news. Was having such a crappy day with things going wrong every which way, now Im back in the ring. Excellent to hear!

OK, just a quick update. I have many more pictures in various cameras, but here's a funny one from the hospital. The day before we brought her home.

YES, I said BROUGHT HER HOME. We brought her yesterday, much sooner than expected and besides the fact that she wants to sleep in the day and cry all night, all is well. We are so blessed!!!!!!

Little brother has been very good to her. He keeps repeating "baby" over and over again and petting her like she were a dog. :) When the dogs come near her she yells, "NO, Pogo. NO Daisy". Very funny, how he's just instinctively protective.

I have pics of his first interaction as well, but it will be few days...I'm now trying to catch up on work with about 3 hours sleep per night. Now, that's not a complaint, but rather an observation.

I can't thank you all enough for helping to bring my little girl home.

Best regards,

Jason

That's fantastic that she's home!

Too cute. Our daughter was like that when we brought our son home. It didn't last.

That's what I thought.

Thanks again everybody for continuing to stop by and continuing to care.

This event will ultimately change my life geographically, financially and mentally (in a big way) and I couldn't be happier. Of course, I still got upset last night when she decided to wake up just as my wife and I were going to bed, after her sleeping all day. She cried for hours (she's use to sleeping in a lit room with non-stop beeping)...but after a few minutes I stopped to reflect on the miracle within a miracle that she is and a smile came across my face. She has already changed me as a person, which is what kids do.

I'm forever in your gratitude for your thoughts.

Best,

Jason

Great news again Jason. Ah the night waking, I remember driving the car around the neighbourhood many a night. A few more months and I can do it all again. Bliss.

Congratulations on the good news Jason. I have one on the way too. I hope she turns out to be as beautiful as your baby girl. I wish you and your family a life filled with happiness.

Hey Jason,

If you haven't already. Leave a little bit of noise in the room at night. Radio, T.V. NICU babies do need a little more stimulation at night. They miss the beeps. Don't you?

That's a good idea. She's sleeping fine right now...since it's daytime. As a matter of fact we can't get her to stay awake until about midnight. :)

If all else fails I'll drive her around in the car as Ncje mentioned. Congratulations on your upcoming baby by the way.

Thanks again to all. I'm off to take a nap.

Great picture!

They have little stuffed animals that have the sound of a heartbeat the way the baby hears it from within the mother. You might try that. The sound is one they spent 9 months with, so...

Thanks Jason. I will probably turn ours on tonight and see if it works. If that fails, it looks like the baby will get a full night of court TV turned up nice and loud. :)
