Anyone get their free P2 card yet?

Now that I use the FS100 for about everything I don't even know if I need the card.

Anyone interested in buying it? I also have 2 4Gig cards.

Post either here in the "gear for sale" or on Ebay. My card sold for $900 about a day after I put it up, and both the buyer and I were very happy with the deal.

14 weeks...

14 weeks...

14 weeks as of today and still no sign. faxed my invoice multiple times and only recently did Veronica aknowledge reciept. this has been a pretty wretched experience. i'll be very careful when using any future panasonic rebates. love the company, the current technology they deliver and this is my third camera thru them but this experience certainly has taken my view of them down a bit. hopefully soon.

Got mine last week, sent in December. Also got some crappy book, with loads of mistakes ha ha ha ha ; ) They should've include the book with the camera so I wouldn't have had to spend weeks wondering what that clunk was? Thanks Barry, you rock, and thanks to this forum for pointing out the rebate.

I got mine last Friday along with Barry's HVX Book. If I remember correctly I sent in the info toward the middle or end of November, so it took awhile.

Ditto here, after about 10 weeks I find out you need to be telepathic and sense that they now want an invoice. Veronica told us in a very condescending tone that "you don't think we were going to send you a $1000 rebate without some proof." Forgive me for thinking you might be sophisticated enough to verify my purchase with the authorized dealer. Send invoice over and over and they can't find it. Now they can't find my original registration, even though for months the site has said my rebate was "in-process." Now they say it will only be just another brief 12 weeks, if they ever recieve my invoice. I am of the opinion now that if you complain they start screwing with you on purpose because I refuse to believe that any organization can be this inept. It's just a pity that these people have been allowed to be associated with such a great product.

Read back a page or two. ***** loudly, get the department manager at ACB on the phone (I gave her number and info earlier in the thread) and magically the additional 12 week wait will evaporate.

It's really unfortunate that one has to ***** loudly and make threatening noises to get what was originally promised, but it seems that's the way that ACB works for quite a number of people.

Also, I think we are seeing increasing evidence that ACB is losing, misplacing, or otherwise not keeping track of invoices. It's impossible for the USPS to have lost ALL of the invoices that were mailed in.

Waiting since Dec 12....

Waiting since Dec 12....

I cannot see wasting anymore energy with these people. This is EXACTLY my feelings about this situation...every word. Very very well put. I have spoken to both Jan and Veronica. It's been 11 days since Jan herself asked Veronica to respond to my inquiry. Thank god I have two 8 gig cards already.

You got yours today and you only placed the order on Feb. 10th-ish?! Wha...?! Maybe mine will come soon too - I placed mine in Janurary [and sent in the invoice...and verified via e-mail that the invoice was received!]...here's to hoping - I have a shoot on the 15th and don't want to rent additional cards.

Mark.

Guess I didn.t have to wait long, I got home and the doorman had my package! Ordered 1/25 - so what is that - a little over 5 weeks...not bad.

Rebatewilight zone

I'm in a rebatewilight zone movie. Ever since the rebate program was announced I applied for it. I bought 2 hvx on November last year, and applied with one serial# for Mr. Green's illustrative book. A couple of weeks later I used both serial #'s for the 8 gig cards, went on location overseas and came home for the holidays to find a letter requesting the ORGINAL invoices. Sent them both via certified mail, almost a month later received one card along with Mr. Green's book. I waited another week before asking if my original request for the book had invalidated me for the card rebate. The response I've got was that they've only received one invoice and I had to send the other camera's original for my request to be processed. So my question is, from where do I get the original original if I sent i to them? Perhaps I could get in touch with B&H to request another original, but then it wouldn't be a true original, wouldn't it? It would be the original copy of the original, therefore rending me ineligible for the rebate because my request would be based on secondary pretenses, or something to that effect. Sorry about the ramblings, I'm in Mexico on location, e-mailing from an Internet Cafe/Cantina/Bordello in the midsts of the Sierra Madre. Ain't life grand?

Woohoo got my p2 card and Barry's book today! I think i sent the invoice in Jan 19th or something - not too long of a wait. Anyways, I even learned something on the first page of the book - my camera runs Linux?!?! Thats freakin sweet. Just thought I'd add my 2 cents in. And if anyone was wondering it came via UPS no signature required. Nothing like finding over a 1000 dollars worth of stuff on your porch...

Life is grand when you have the right attitude. You seem to be handling everything well.
But it sounds like you should send Jan a PM. Obviously she is the only thing keeping most of these kind people from forming a mutiny.

Just got mine! Of course it's great but the Barry book is great too.
Thanks for your hard work on a great book BG!

Ordered my HVX in February and submitted my rebate request on 2/13/07. Came home today (4/13/07) and saw package from Panasonic Rebates, and viola! Got my HVX Book and 8 gig P2 card!

Who says Friday the 13th is unlucky?

Kevin
