a p2 card is based on 4 sd cards in a parallel circuit.

so i was thinking that you could get one of these

a PCMCIA to SD card adapter ( you can get these for $20 in some shops). then just make your own 4 sd card to 1 circuit and use 4x 2gb sd cards for 8gb

it does say "up to 512MB" limit. but i don't know whether that's a limitation of the adapter or the firmware or the computers. it might work or it might fail miserably.

<sarcasm>Yes. Please do that, and let us know how it works out.

Alternatively, you could use that spiffy SEARCH feature and save yourself time and money.</sarcasm>

i did use the search and couldn't find anything. maybe i'm searching for the wrong things. could you post a link please.

Im not going to search for it, but i remeber talking about changing out SD cards withen a regular p2 Unit.
Go search now, I almost suggest using google over The DVXuser search

After your Term in google put in "site:www.dvxuser.com" without qoutes.

I wouldn't put that in my camera...even with a latex wrapper.

But please if you do put it in your camera, make sure you get footage of the whole thing. Watching an HVX melt will be comedy gold.

How about this. Take one of those 20 in 1 pcmcia card readers and stuff every hole with a card until you get like 23 gigs worth of storage and use disk utility to turn it into a raid. Then use a watch and a swirling resolution chart to hypnotize the reader into believing it's a P2 card.
