Hi everybody,

this short was thought for the last Horror Fest, but I've just finished it :cheesy:

it's an horror/thriller but with some black comedy feelings.

I would like to have some criticism...

you could download directly from here (it's a zip file with a .divx inside, about 65Mb):

Frattura.zip

or watch at it from here (very low quality):

uh, I forgot!

shot with DVX100 B without any 35mm adapter. Edited in Final Cut Pro. Titles with Motion.

The short is italian, but it's without any word, so is completly understandable all over the world

Omar, I found this fascinating to watch. Great soundtrack and your sound design was spot on. The opening scene was so dark I could hardly see anything onscreen. In fact, I almost didn't watch the rest of it. I'm glad I did, though. Your cinematography was really interesting, nicely framed shots, nice continuity and nice lighting.

I'm not a big fan of horror films but this one had a quirkiness I really liked.

Nice work

thank you very much disjecta!

Unfortunately I had to choose the divx format that darks the first scene because the mov desaturates the colours (and they are very important). In the dvd version the night is not so dark (it's always dark anyway, I wanted a very dark and blue night). Happy you went on watching it!

I met the composer here, on dvxuser. His nickname is "homebilly" on this forum. We worked together through Skype (me in Italy and he in California). I'm very proud of his soundtrack, above all in the final scene (the syringe one).

Thank you again for your criticism!!:dankk2:

Nice Job! I like the beginning where you drag that woman, then hacknslash up her. The lightning, the editing! I was inspired :)

i was thinking of doing that to my girlfriend as well. hmmmm?

Thank you very much Alternative_3 and Gestahl!
The beginning of the short was inspired by the murder of the woman in Brian DePalma's Body Double, with this "Hitchcock's shower scene editing". I'm very happy you liked it!:love4:

Thanks to you too G-Man! I'm happy the story is clear, even if there aren't any words!!

here could you find a sort of "press release" of the short, where I wrote my intentions about the movie.

If you want to do something like that for your movies, I could send you the iPage original file, just let me know!
