hey guys

For some reason our email aliases aren't working (strange, but regular email is). you can drop me a line at bvalente@redrockmicro.com in the interim.

We do have extra DVDs, but haven't figured out distribution. If you are local to LA area, we can arrange to stop by and pick one up

Cheers

Brian

Thanks Brian. I emailed you.

Re: distribution. You could create a torrent and post a link here along with a YouTube upload to serve as a low res preview. I'd love to see the DVD but am billions of light years away.

Hey everyone

email is back working now. They transferred us to a new server since we overloaded the older ones :)

Can i ask a cheeky question - will the follow focus or matte box work with other systems for those who have already purchased other DOF adapters?

sure - just drop me a line brian@redrockmicro.com - we can figure something out

James - I also replied to your email. the microFollowFocus, microRemote, and microMatteBox are all based on standards so they should work fine with other products also based on those standards (e.g., your DOF adapter has 15mm rods)

Cheers

Brian

I have a question Brian. Will the remote follow focus $500 package include rear mounting rails?

One more if you may. Is there the possibility of an all inclusive package such as your existing package plus the remote and matte box? What is or when will the price be available?

The rig we demonstrated had the microPod as the rear rail system - it's available now. We will likely come up with several bundling options, since a lot of folks have expressed interest in packages from the M2 adapter to complete cinema system with M2 adapter, microFollowFocus, and microMatteBox (okay, and other items too like microPod, but I'm not going to list them all out :) )

Hello everyone,

I just wanted to say thank you so much for coming out to Jargon to see the film and to check out some of Redrock's new gear. I really appreciate all the kind words of support. It really means so much to me and the crew.

Finally, a remote FF unit for all of you guys that wanted to pull focus on a stedicam or crane! Can't wait to check out the production unit.

Thanks to Brian and James at Redrock for supporting our film. You guys didn't have to but the fact that you did really shows me how much you guys care about us indie filmmakers. Best of luck in 2007 guys!

Andrew Oh is a real class act. I was at the screening and had a wonderful, informative time. It was great to see the new gear from Redrock, but it was even better seeing Illegal on the big screen.

Kudos to the director, cast and crew for putting together such a well made flik.

PS: Andrew, I'm one of the guy's who was at the screening REALLY early, lol. I mentioned I preferred the grit of the original color correction (sans magic bullet) if that refreshes your memory (faded baseball cap, black jacket). Again, kudos. Nicely done.

Wow this would be great to see. The grabs in the poster look quality thats for sure. And like others always hearing different peoples stories to make something, would be great to hear their experiences.

One thing that puzzles me. Seems like a great deal of time and effort has been spent making this film with some talented people. So I ask, why just directly copy the BABEL movie poster?

Its not a big deal I guess, just made me scratch my head.

I belive they mentioned earlier on this thread that the artist brought it finished to them without any desitions being made prior, or something like that

Hey guys, haha, it's just a promo poster, not the actual poster or DVD cover. We're working on the real one as we speak :) Thanks guys!

Jordan, thanks so much for coming out man. It was good to finally meet you. I really appreciate the kind words. I wanted to wish you the best of luck with your project.

The main actress in the film, Tyler, I used to know about 4 years ago. I was her supervisor at an old job (a sales & marketing call center). She also used to be in a very short-lived girl group called 'Calico.'

Tyler was really sweet. I remember she had just moved from Tennessee to LA. Even her parents came with her - they worked at the same company and were incredibly supportive of her Hollywood endeavors. Her parents were a hoot and especially Steve (her dad)! We got along great and I tended to see more of those two because Tyler was often out on auditions. Some good times . . . but I bet we're all a lot happier to have moved on from that place! :)

Anyway, glad to see she is making some great strides in the industry . . .

Hey, I remember your old job-I visited you there when applying for the 2nd Assistant Director Training Program.

Yep! That's the one. :)

Hi everyone,

the podcast from the screening is now available here:

http://www.redrockmicro.com/podcasts.html

This is the Q&A session with the cast and crew following the screening.

It's our first podcast, so any suggestions/comments welcome. You can watch it directly via the web page, or if you subscribe via iTunes (or whatever podcast software you have) you will be sent future podcasts which include more filmmaker reviews, training, etc.

Cheers

Brian

Thanks for the podcast link. I was unable to attend the screening, and this is the next best thing-very informative.
