$1600 on Miller Solo Carbon but Which Head?

I've read all the threads in this forum on tripods and heads and Land's review of the Focus. Would like the Focus head, but it's 100mm.

We need a solid, but lightweight sticks and head.

Pretty much settled on the Miller Solo Carbon 75mm bowl $650.00 at BH.

What's left:

Sachtler DV 6 SB, but that's $1549.00.
Sachtler DV 4 II, and that makes the price, but I've read it isn't robust enough even though our HVX200 fully loaded is sub 10 lbs.

Bogen / Manfrotto 519 = $849.00.

Because of the 75 mm bowl on the Miller, what else does anybody recommend or suggest?

The Sachtler DV 6 SB with the 75L sticks is there as well, but no body seems to like Sachtler sticks.

I'd appreciate some suggestions.

Thanks

What about the Cartoni HiDV. I have the miller solo vj with Cartoni Focus. It's a great combo - really like it. If I was looking for something a little lighter for travel, etc, the HiDV would be something I'd consider.

I also have a Miller 20. Lighter weight, 75mm ball and good unit, but now that I'm mainly using the Cartoni will probably sell the Miller - so guess I feel the Cartoni is a little better. Good luck on your search.

I've got a Sachtler DV6 on a set of miller legs as well as a 519 on miller legs.... love them both. Using the 519 for my XL2 and the DV6 for my HVX :)

Am I going to regret going with the Sachtler DV4II over the DV6SB if we just don't shoot with more than 10 pounds?

That is something you need to try. I've got the 6SB on Miller sticks. The Sachtler head was 991 Euro, the Miller solo 561 Euro. The 6SB head is smooth and incredible good build quality. An 75mm bowl is large enough for the HVX + extra's.
