im surprised i didnt get into the top 5 mine was way better than the others hiros is the only good one on there thats really ****ed up incubus.
 
my vote is in man, awesome job on the vid... the others in the top 5 just didn't have something that you put in on that vid... I hope that you win!

Hiro, when I saw your video on Youtube before I even knew that you had posted it here and I couldn't believe how pro this looked...The whole thing looks amazing! I knew yours would make it in no problem....Having said that, I am disappointed that the other entries they chose were so lame....I thought for sure inspire's would have made it in as well...:thumbup:

Anyway, congratulations and I will make sure and vote for yours!

Oh, and I think you might have mentioned this, but where did you get the film reel look in there? Was it just a Photo of the the film and you just layered it and keyframed?

yea its just a photo of a negative, royalty free of course.. and i just keyframed it.. pretty simple

hey man your video stands well above the rest. I think you're the only one who actually properly keyed out the green without turning your footage black and white or BLUE! When i saw the other finalists I was kicking myself for not submitting. Excellent work man! Is the anouncement tonight at the Wiltern?

I got to the dvxuser community tonight because I'm looking to buy a video camera and this blog got my attention. I saw your video and it was very inspirational to pursue this great hobbie. Before being a photographer, I'm also a musician and I can guarantee you that you'll win this contest. I wish you the best and I'm sure I'll be watching your video soon on MTV and probably many more. It will remind me how far you can get when you master a certain subject.

Hey I saw part of your video on MTV the other day.....Looks really good...I got really excited when I saw it...Just thought you should know....Good work man....:) I don't know if yours was chosen or if it was just an ad to check out the finalists....But again, it looked good!
 
...the animated one won. They announced it at the incubus show. Carlos something...the one that did the animated video. Personally I thought it shouldn't of won. Yes it was nicely animated and looked nice but it was soooo boring. Ramon you should have won. oh well, congrats to carlos anyways, it must have a taken a lot of work to animate it.
 
Wow. Great job hiro, I love all your music vids, and this really kept up your rep. I do have the point about the excessive use of filters, but other than that it was still great!
