Trailer for our movie!

Hi there,

There are some good shots in here, but the main thing I want to comment on is the color correction and timing,

Everything seems to be just right, and helps the film look alot! good jon on that!

It looks pretty darn good. It's leaning more towards the "professional" level in terms of presentation, which I like. One of the things that I've noticed after years of viewing users' videos are minor details that seperate the amateur from the pseudo-professional.

In my opinion, it is important to have [semi-]professional looking titles and simple visual effects, such as your on-screen "All is fair..." text.

I feel as though too many people just slap things together to show on here, but I applaud you on going the extra step. Good luck!

Thanks!

Thanks!

Thanks for the kind words guys. It's been a lot of work making this movie and I've definately learned a lot along the way. Not everyone takes the time to say nice things on web forumns. So it is definately appreciated.

Great title. Great great title.

This looks okay but I'd like to see a quicktime verson of the trailer as this just looks too muddy. I had a hard time seeing what was going on.

Also, I felt like you could've got a better image out of the HVX. When the guy gets off his bike and kicks it and also when the [same guy I believe] is out with a shopping cart (I think) - Both of those shots looked very video-ish. Maybe some color correction? And youtube definitely doesn't help.

You said you learned a lot. What did you learn?

Oh, and good luck with the screening.

Nice!

I am hearing the HVX is a light hog. How was is on interior lighting? Did you need twice as many lights then for a DVX, etc?

Learning

I learned that shooting a big movie is tough. I learned a lot about the language of cinema and how to get the most out of simple lighting set ups.

The HVX isn't too much of a hog. I'd only rate it about a stop or a stop and a half slower than the DVX. It's still in the 300ASA range.

Looks really funny! Nice title. Hilarious logline and synopsis. I love the shot of Chip poking him in the forehead.

Tomorrow is the day!

Synopsis...

From the first day of kindergarten, Andy knew he was going to take Bethany Hopkins to the senior prom. The only problem is: he never bothered to tell Bethany. In fact, Andy's never even spoken to her. But with the prom only twenty-four hours away, he's not going to let a little thing like that get him down. He's got bigger problems. Mainly the fact that America is on the brink of a nuclear war that not only threatens to destroy the free world... but his prom night as well.
