First images from my companies HVX !

Ya know, ya'll should be congratulating me, that someone has enough faith in my talent to pay money to buy a camera for me to use!

Like that people put up money for Smuggler's Ransom.

I'll take free money or free cameras all day.

I think that Brandon, in his excitement of this tool available to him now, mis-worded his sentiments.

I'm guessing he meant more like: Hey guys, I now have access to an HVX and here are my first test shots. Short version: I now have acces to an HVX.

I'm sure that's all, and the intent was not to fool the community into thinking HE, himself, had dropped 8500 on an HVX package. The idea that "I took the plunge on an HVX" is very misleading. But all will be cleared up.

As I tell everyone, watch how you word things.

Thanks Kholi. That is exactly what this whole thread was about, showing some tests from the HVX I now use. My name is not on the bill of sale, but I USE it.

Peace everyone.

how woud you "fix" the gamma? you don't mean in post do you? or are you talking about the scene file settings?

Yeah, in post. Have you heard of "Magic Bullet?" It's a program that helps give your video a "film" look. One of the main ways it accomplishes this is by adjusting the gamma curve to match film more closely.

fair enough.

Like I said, I dont know you personally but you seem like a decent dude via this crazy interweb thingy

i've heard of it, how does it work once you have your footage in FCP? is it like an additional plugin software or something? or is it software where you pretty much just click on a preset look that you want and it adds that look to your footage?

It's a plug-in and works just like any filter. You add it to the clip then you have the option to tweak things. BEWARE: render times can be lengthy depending on the look you're using. It's fun to play with but often it seems a little too much, unless, of course, it's what you're looking for.
