yikes!

Last night we had 3.7 C (38.66F) and I was starting to worry :) All the past month we had 6C,19C (42.8F,66.2F) :) Yes, I live in Greece !
Men, I can't even imagine what -11F is like. What do you use for heating and what temperature you have inside the house ?

Andreas

I was talking to my Dad yesterday, and it was -55(at that point Celsius and F do not matter) with the wind chill in Winnipeg. And he had to drive home with a smashed window. I do not know how he made it.

But believe it or not you get used to it.

My question still stands: what you guys use for heating and what is the inside temperature when outside is -11F (I suppose with -55 you just burn the house with yourself inside, right ? )

That's about it.:) I use natural gas and we normally have the inside temperature set to about 68F.

Like Horse said most folks use forced air with a Natural Gas furnace. You really appreciate how your house is built in the cold days. The crazy part is back home in July it will hit near 100F (34ishC)

My wife's a California girl she she's not any fun to be around when she's outside from about November to April. :)

Of course, she always has to tell me what the wind chill is like it's the actual temp.
"It's -35 out." So I say is it really -35? Then she says no, that's what it feels like.

So then I have to say well if it's really only -12 but it feels like -35 then how do we really know what -12 feels like? And who does it feel like -35 to? I run around with a light jacket all winter long and she wears enough layers that it takes her half an hour to get out of them all when she comes back inside.

I was out this late afternoon filming eagles on the river and felt cool, but not cold. I get home and they have advisories out all over the place. They're cancelling events all over town etc because it's to cold. What a bunch of wusses! :)

I'm with ya, Kevin. I have a light leather jacket that gets me through the winter. Hell, I don't even zip the thing up most of the time.

Why don't you two just whip them out on the table, and see who's is shorter in this cold weather..lol Jon from another cold place in Iowa)

yikes!

This is why I fled the Dairy State as SOON as I graduated (Go Badgers!). Like a war flashback I can still feel the stinging cold on my skin whenever I watch a Packers game.

I got some old down jackets I could sell you for cheap...I don't need em anymore ;)

Don't worry only 4 more months before the temp will be over 100 and you will be making your daily blood donation to the local mosquito population.

Cheers
