Race Day: End of Infinity........

A friend and I decided to make this short when the school we were going to use for our original idea fell through. So last minute we changed the concept and shot something fun and simple. It may not be a traditional drama we decided we wanted to make a comical drama.
Shot in one day with two borrowed Red heads, a movie tube and a set of primes that we had for the day.

Take a look at it and let me know what you think.

Hahaha! Great mockumentary! So well acted! Were they, um, acting? Cause most highschoolers talk like that... But I'm not too sure about it belonging in the Drama Fest. Maybe the Documentary Fest?

Drama Fest

I had a feeling people might think it might not fit into drama fest. I see it as a character study. The main point of the story was the characters themselves.

By the way they were acting.

Comedy, eh ? Sneaky punk. Hehe.

I would have liked to see less of the talking heads, and more showing not telling, and the set up to the punchline took a bit long.

There was a comedy short I saw a while ago that was similar in that the interviewees were talking about a new “sport”. They cut various scenes of how they prepared, other people’s reactions, and various other B-roll footage until you saw them doing the sport -> jumping on people’s backs and seeing how long they could hold on, like an illegal rodeo.
The interview was more the straight man in the comedy act, if you get me…

Just a suggestion if you wanted to make this an entry for submission somewhere else.

Looked like you had fun shooting it, though. As a Canuck we’re raised on the slopes - crazy bastids that we are. ? :)
