Music video clip - HVX 200 with M2

Looks good! Great video! My question is the same as the last though, did you use filters, or some kind of textures?

Alright! I could not wait to post on this one. So I am 15 seconds into the video and it has my attention. It looks good. I am excited to finish it and see how I'd feel about by the end of it.

Peace,

Well done! I finished it. The video does looks good. I thought the song was good too, but it was long so I felt that the images were being dragged to fit the lengh of it. Honestly I found myself fast-forwarding to see the end. The effects are cool but it felt over-killed by the length. I wish I could have hear the trumpets earlier. Overall is a good video. I enjoyed it.

great imagery and innovative editing techniques...the use of your layering added a great deal of style. Images were crisp and clean both use of crane and stedi cam sequences added substance and motivation ... thanks enjoyed all of the piece (no add problems ) look forward to your next posting.....vl

now this is what i'm talking about. great song. great video. the M2 is illmatic I must say it really helps indy filmmakers make stuff look superb. Very very well done. If anything at all i would just say some of the shots including the final shot could have been a little steadier with the use of tripods, for example the common video for "corners" or the talib kweli classic video for "Get By" reminded me somewhat of this one. But I really enjoyed watching it. Once again just small critiques I would try to allways keep the same thought process for videos, but just try to perfect some small stuff like steadiness of shots, color correction (since it already has the depth of field, might as well crush blacks and do that whole fiasco to really pull off the film look) and it looks like you can see some of the lights in some shots. For some videos that works out good, but not in this one.

Over all great video. You get my applause

wilkzekpl,

Hands down the best HVX music video I've seen to date. Narrative is awesome, effects are rocking and the quality of the track justifies the visuals.

What else can I say? I'll be adding this to the clips I send around to prove the HVX to clients.

I love the plaster texture. It seems like the texture layer flashes between an overlay and a 30%ish opacity. I don't know, but that seems like how I'd do it.

This has to be my favorite HVX music video so far. I'm really impressed.

Great video, and amazing editing. I can't imagine how long it must have taken to edit that. Really really sharp and innovative style!

In FCP, you'd place the textured graphic on a track above your video, give it one of the Composite modes, depending on the exact effect you were looking for. Pretty easy, but also easy to misuse.

This is one of the very BEST music videos I've ever seen!

Wow, that is the best editing hvx i've seen on this board yet.. Im an editor first, so you have my respects!!!!

How did you get the rights to the news footage? I'd be interested to know how you got access to this.

thanks for sharing-ramon
