UKP - an Ignatius Fischer motion picture

Thought that you might enjoy that. I know that I did. That is AFTER I made Mark remove that shirt off of my body and put it on Rob's! Though he did leave me with the "limited access" pass and gave Brandon the "all access." Bastard!

HAHAHA!!! Have you come across "the shirt" yet? That was quite the topic of conversation and photoshop display!

Yes, I did, and I want one of those shirts, too! Good stuff.

Ignatius, you're in Temecula! That's just about 40 minutes down the road...practically neighbors. Good luck on you movie...I'm looking forward to seeing it.

Hi Blaine, actually, I live in Hemet, about 25 miles north-east of Temecula (but close enough, right!).

Yes, I am the tanned one who couldn't wait to get to CA and out of the cold New England air! (I'm on far the right.) (Others are, from L-R... Brandon Rice, Rob Harrison (our star!) and Mark Johnson, himself!)

Ted, I noticed in your avatar that you're enjoying an In-N-Out burger. Congratulations. Was it your 'first time'?

I think they only have In-N-Out in California, correct?

Sorry to hijack your thread Ignatius. I'm waiting... impatiently... for the Drama-festivities to begin!

man.. that was different. Crazy b*tch. :) hehehe

I loved the angle of the kitchen window. Took me a bit to realize.. "hey... there's other stuff happening on frame left.

The sequence looking to the 'heavens' above was great! Just like him, i was glad to see her finally be quiet and get the hell out of there.

cheers!

Very cool, excellent acting; I was waiting for one of them to kill the other or something. hah. Justin already said it, that sequence with him looking up, glad to be rid of her was great!

REVIEW: UKP

Well... at least he got fired.

I just don't know what to say about this one. I don't have any idea what it was about, because after the problem ( at least I thought it was the problem ) was presented, I got another problem, and then a lot of cursing, and then drugs.

That lady was a real ... pit bull, and your fella wasn't doing much to save himself. She totally dominated the conversation. Anyway, I just kinda don't know what to say.

If that was your goal, to make the audience go "hmm" then you succeeded! If I see someone else explain what was going on, then I'll chime in here.

Well you did a good job of creating two people for me to hate. I think they probably deserve each other. Storywise, I'm not really sure there was one. It seemed like vignette in a bigger piece. And if this were for a bigger piece I would definitely want someone I could pull for.

The handheld camera work was distracting. I didn't find it motivated so I would have preferred dolly shots or Steadicam (Glidecam) shots.

I loved the shot you set up in the kitchen facing Wyatt with the b*tch reflected in the window.

It's a decent movie and I think you show a lot of promise. I think this would have really benefitted with a more conventional approach to the photography and a more complete story.

loved the pacing, the ECU's and how they were edited together. felt like the movie started out compressed, expanded and compressed again. I dug the reflections of the characters off the windows- just felt like it kept it moving- even though the story for me was drowned out by the yelling and great performance. the last scene was sci-fi-ish. loved it.

Ignatius, I really enjoyed this one. The dialogue was fantastic. You made two people in a room enjoyable to watch and the MacGuffin worked here great, I was aching to know why in the hell, she cared about this Eric guy being so late and why she was so high strung... great revelation. I actually like the guys sarcastic attitude and can understand why he acted the way he acted with this screaming woman on top of him like that, my one complaint was that I was bummed out right at the end when we discover he was also a user. I'm not sure if that was necessary (and is kinda of hinted at when she mentions him getting drunk and stoned) but that is a minor complaint. Great job man.

Jeremy said it for me. Not bad.

My one big critique. I think that the woman's performance was too one note. She was a good actress, but her intensity and delivery was the exact same throughout the entire build-up until she gets high. I think as a director you could have coached her to add a little more 3-Dimensionality to her raging.

Thought the male lead was great.

Good job.
