Diggin' your lighting... creepy

That's all Mr. Stebbins. I'll let him explain how he lit this.

Oh yeah, and my entry for drama fest has been postponed, but I will make it eventually.

The screen grabs look great my friends! Alex, your poster could be better. Talk to me sometime if you'd like some feedback. I'm always down to help a brother out.

Thanks, Ben. I would definitely like some help/ feedback. I'm pretty new to this photoshop thing. :)

So this is going to be a romantic comedy? 'Cause right now it's setting up to look more like a more polished version of August Underground's Mordum...
Still looks great though...

Well the thing is, it's for a romantic comedy festival, and I figured a bunch of people would probably go the cliche route. And I like like dark comedies better anyway, so... lol. I'm just throwing "Dark" in between romantic and comedy. But thank you for your reply!

Hey just wanted to let everyone know that Masochism was submitted into a film festival on our campus (University of Nebraska-Lincoln) where it placed first out of eight films. It was a great experience and, as freshmen, really got us excited for the years to come.

Be sure to check out the short film and let us know what you think. The link can be found on the first post in this thread. Thanks!

I really loved the atmosphere and cinemtography. I just had a few quibbles with the dialouge, characterization, and main story. Perhaps I'm just bitter though.

Still, EXCELLENT work!

Thanks dude. What are your comments on the story and characters? I'm trying to improve as a writer/director so any help would be great!

Nicely shot. But beyond that - I'm not sure what you were trying to get at with the story. Is it that people who enjoy other kinds of sexual gratification than the norm deserve to be killed? Or is it simply that women are, in fact, crazy bitches and are probably asking for it anyway?

Sorry to be harsh, but you went to a lot of time and effort to create a pretty un-interesting story that was pretty offensive in some really, really tired and predictable ways.

But being as how you're still Freshman, perhaps you can be forgiven for being sophomoric.

I actually wasn't getting at any of that. Basically she just got herself in too deep without knowing it. It could have gone either way, guy or girl. And who said she was killed? The story was in no way meant to be offensive to anyone... you might be reading too far into it.
