Haven't got my P2 Card yet !

Waited patiently for 2 months then finally called them to check status. Only then did they request the original bill of sale. I almost lost it. Added to the injury of my HVX coming up with 2 major malfunctions within the first 2 months. Aaaaarghh. I'm delivering my broken unit tomorrow personally with a few choice words as well. This whole rebate/scam is a load of crap. The only reason they don't simply include the card POS is so you have to buy them to use the camcorder. Pretty sheisty tactics.

No. They don't include P2 cards in the box because not everybody needs or wants them, and if they forced everyone to pay for a P2 card they don't want, there'd be a whole separate thread here devoted to bi*ching and whineing about it.
 
I think his point was that they could include the free rebate card with the camera.

The complication there is that Panasonic wants to be able to say when a rebate starts and ends - then you would have a frantic bunch of people searching for those cams that have cards in the boxes...

then people would be bitc*ing that so-and-so got a cam with a card even after the rebate was"over" - but that the cam they got didn't have a card in it...etc etc

It will always be something.
 
Who buys an HVX to shoot sd??? It's a nice featurette like the onboard mic but seriously.

Included doesn't necessarily mean in the box. When you buy any retailer "package" it's always in separate boxes.

The funny thing is that if it was money it would be no big deal. Buy an HVX and an 8GB card and get a 1000 dollar rebate. The problem is that the card is instrumental in the operation of the camera. Also interesting how everyone has cards in stock except for the rebate center.
