We are now parked high in the hills at the sacred Chateau D'If. I want to extend many thanks to everyone who worked on this project; I'm sure everyone agrees that the experience gained is priceless. Cheers to everyone who helped and I look forward to the next "adventure."

I had such a good time gaffing and have to thank Kevin for the opportunity to come out and be a part of this film. I also need to thank Mark, Ted, and Blaine for having the confidence in me to edit, and I hope you guys enjoy the picture. Everyone on set contributed greatly in different areas and it is really great to be able to surround yourself with such a bright group of people.

Ted-You work so well with actors, sometimes it was hard to do my job because I was trying to pick up what you were putting down. Great job man.

Blaine-If it weren't for you I'd probably still be making movies with my friends and my dog. You really know how to keep a set going in the right direction, and your wine cellar rocks.

Kevin-People actually think I know what I'm doing, and I attribute this to your skills as a teacher among many other things. You da man. We need to hit some cool bars soon.

Bullis-If I ever need to fashion anything out of twigs and cotton swabs I will call you. You are the most resourceful person I have ever met.

Kyle & Alex-You guys need to get your arses out to Cali. Nebraska is for momos.

Briceman-If I ever need someone to keep me on track with my VFX, you'll be the first one I call! (I'll DEF. have that stuff for you EARLY this week.)

Herman-You have more talent in your cuticles than I do in my family tree.

Mark-Lets go get soem whiskey.

I have now been up for 34 hours, and the drinking shall commence.

Tim.
Tim, thank you for your very nice post here. Your words are very much appreciated.

I just had to add to that list of yours, that YOU were so instrumental in the creation of TTN. You are such an incredible worker on the set. I wish that people could fully appreciate what you did.

Let me just say to anyone who does know...

Tim has one of the most positive attitudes that I've ever come across. He is willing, able and ready to jump on any task and does so with a sincere energy that makes you forget that it is 1am in the morning and that you should be beat.

Tim is always working. I NEVER saw this guy try to slip away and take a break! NEVER!!! He arrived to the set ready to work and didn't stop (taking on any and every task asked of him) until the truck was loaded and locked.

Tim is multi-talented!!! He's not only is an excellent gaffer and key grip, he has proven to be an outstanding editor! He took over the duties of editing 2 weeks ago and provided me with a cut that tells this lengthy and complex story with such clarity... and does so in under 6 minutes! (Let me tell you, Mark and I have enough story and footage for a 10-12 minute cut. I was finding it hard to let things go. Tim took over and crafted a wonderful film!)

And finally, Tim is just a really nice guy. And not one of those "nice guys who will finish last," mind you. He embodies so many qualities and skills that I never want to work on another film without this guy on the set!

Thank you, Tim. You are a one-of-a-kind!

Hey Ted,

You are so correct about the characterization of Tim. He is one hell of a hard worker and so talented for such a young person. I have had the pleasure of working with him on 4 projects over the past few months and each and every time has been wonderful. I can introduce him to a new piece of grip equipment or lighting and within a matter of moments he fully understands it and is coming up with creative ways of using it.

Working as a DP on a moderate scope project like TTN is a real team effort, there is just no way that a single individual can manage all that working with a 2 ton grip truck brings. I never had to wonder where Tim was, he was always working ahead and trying to anticipate my needs. This is the description of a perfect gaffer / key grip.

There were so many times I had to tell him to take a break and get something to eat, he would have worked right through meal breaks without even a complaint. I can't wait to bring Tim onto a film shoot, should have an opportunity to do so in the next couple of months. I have no doubt that he will quickly pickup an understanding of the work flow differences between a video and film set.

I am certain that Tim's career is just beginning and I am grateful for the opportunity to have him as my gaffer on this and the other projects that we have worked on. I consider having the opportunity to work with Tim, Blaine, Mark, and yourself and all the other dvxer's as one of the best things that I have gotten out of this forum.

Looking forward to seeing all the films in this fest. Watching the evolution of everyone's work from fest to fest has been a true pleasure. This will be another great weekend of short film watching for me!

Yep! Tim is the man!!!

>>>>>>>>

Herman, GREAT JOB on the score!!!!!!!!!!!! I love finally getting to hear it WITH the film! Wow! Thanks so much!

Awesome job!

Herman, we have been screening TTN here at "Chateau D" (the appellation given to Tim's rather interesting abode. I personally refer to it as "the unstable molecule" but that is another story for another day). In any event, everyone is smitten by your beautiful score. Last night the drunken revelers (myself included) attempted to replicate certain passages with limited success. When the competition opens would you kindly give a breakdown of how you produced it?

Tim had been up some 38 hours straight when the powers of Morpheus combined with Bacchus to render him incompetent and possibly incontinent judging by the olfactory evidence. Before lapsing into incoherent speech, though, he played TTN one more time for a small gathering and spoke "my work here is done" and shuffled off. I, being an experienced drunk, paced myself so that I maintained enough brainstem function to continue semi-intelligent speech so that I remained an object of amusement and curiosity for the mole people who inhabit Chateau D. Moreover, my prodigous powers of recovery saw me up at 6:30 a.m. completely refreshed (though reeking) and I stepped over the prior night's detritus and floor strewn with sleeping moles to acquire Mr. Starbuck's elixer of life. I am now deposited at my monitor anxiously awaiting the flow of drama shorts soon to come.

Good morning Theodore. You guard the East flank and I shall monitor the goings on here in La La land.

You bet, Mark. Consider the East flank guarded! Though, if something should arise (especially from those NYC boys) don't expect such a plethora of poetic prose from me... I'll simply yell, "F*ck! F*ck! F*ck!"

Bwaaaaa hahaha haaaahahahaaaahaaa haaaa!

That made me laugh OUT LOAD!

Very good.

(um, no offence Roman. I am sure that he is referring to the OTHER NYC boys! They know who they are!)

Ha ha ha! That's one of my favorite sections of our thread. .... Hey, that reminds me that Brandon hasn't worn the shirt yet. ..... developing.
