Music Video in SD on HVX

I liked the concept a lot. I wish the camera was somewhat smoother and the background dancers wardrobe was a bit more supporting to the "happy" feeling of the production... but then again, I understand the crowd you are catering. I think you did a great job. I can see you growing strong in this area.

Very impressive for a one take video! Did you use the camera handheld with no shoulder mount, or with/without a stabilizer?

Beautiful song, cool one take video. Very creative. Very relaxing imagery.

oversaturation in the reds and hues. but really who cares? the video works really well

In terms of stabilization I basically had a steaditracker which was almost negated by the fatigue of having to carry the boombox and walk backwards and yelling out cues. I wouldn't quite recommend the steaditracker (same company that makes the cobra crane) because you have to hold it with one hand. It would also help to have an AC (which I did not) to help guide you when walking backwards.

I should post some of the alternate takes (wherein everybody just completely screws up).

Thanks for watching!

The perfect example of less is more. Although ultra simple, this is one of the most effective and fun videos I've watched in months. It really catered to the song and artist. Very Nice effort.

You were carrying a boombox AND a handheld stabilizer, and walking backwards with no one to guide you? Are you the Hulk? In that context the video is excellent.

I thnk the concept is great, I love clever single-shot videos, and the singer's style is pretty cool hip-hoppy folk sound. It's especially cool that you got all the kids to be sports and dance around like that, it really makes it entertaining.

If you can't reshoot it with a few pairs of extra hands to guide you and hold the boombox, at least you learned something from the experience that will make your next video better. Great job

very nice song and idea. The shakiness and stutteryness did throw me off... and as much as it's simple and everything.. I think it would have been cool to have boomed up at the end... stepping up a ladder or something to get that group doing the choreography on the ground....

Nice piece though but a bit too blairwitch for my tastes...

What a catchy tune! Like many others here, I love the concept but a steadicam or a glidecam would have served you well. I think that with the slight comedic air to the video it looked great even without a DOF adapter. Great job!
