According to Fox, A group of aspiring filmmakers will be brought to Hollywood, where they will produce short films from different genres each week. The contestants will be given access to professional writers, cast, and crew.

After each movie challenge, their films will be critiqued in front of a live audience by well-respected professionals in the movie biz. But viewers at home will decide who stays and who goes by voting. The director with the least amount of viewer votes is eliminated each week.

But this is an international contest, so everybody can participate if he/she wants ? Although you would not have any language problems as you are from Australia - so where is the problem ?

On the other side (as I live in Germany and my english is not that perfect it should be) I think it´s just a matter of time when this show concept will be converted to a local TV show, as every concept in this manner was copied by German TV. So after "Deutschland sucht den Superdepp" maybe "Deutschland sucht den Superregisseur" ? Let´s wait and see but I also think: nice concept and Steven Spielberg is one of the greatest film maker ever - at least to me.

I'll be entering the contest, I've already got some of my shot's done. Gotta hurry though clips need to be in by Feb. 16th Good Luck to all of the DVXUsers that enter, and if you make it you should give some shout outs to Jarred and Barry!:Drogar-BigGrin(DBG)
 
Looks like the crew link is for a film to be submitted to On the Lot, being shot
with the HVX. The post gives the impression that the show itself will be shot with the camera.
 
I'm pretty sure if you make the show, you will be doing your films each week on film, all with a crew and dolly's cranes, whatever else you need. It is an amazing chance for a future filmmaker to get to do what they love. I don't think they will be using any HVX cameras, but I may be wrong.
