THREADING THE NEEDLE

If DVXuser had an all-star team this would be it. Wow. Where to start…

In general it was an amazing experience and one I am incredibly grateful to be a part of. A number of the people Kevin, Blaine, Tim and Brandon I had worked with before so it was almost like a reunion. I had so much fun during the shoot I forgot that we where shooting a film… I mean to get to the set and have there be real airplanes, I immediately turned into a kid again.

Kevin: It is wild to watch you work. Your creativity and skill in your craft not to mention your tireless energy really brought a lot to the experience. Thank you personally for all of the advice and direction (More of which I will be asking shortly) J It was wonderful to work with you again.

Blaine: Your work is incredible even to the tiny details. I remember during the shoot many instances where you came though time and time again. If there was even a hint of a problem you where already working on the solution. You dedication and selflessness is a virtue that many people do not poses but you seam to have more than a lions share of it. Whether it is reviewing scripts, writing notes or going over story ideas you offer nothing but creative encouragement and a true creative passion which is evident in everything you touch. A good friend will give you the shirt off his back….well you one upped them my friend..I am wearing the jacket right now. Thank you for everything.

Tim: It was great to hang with you again. How many hats did you wear for this one? Every time I turned around you where doing something different. Let me see…ADR, Special Effects, Editing, you are a one man film making machine. Lot of exciting things in the works… can’t wait to move forward with the next project.

Also, just heard about the 24 gig. Congratulations!

Brandon: Although we didn’t really spend a lot of time together on this shoot. It is always great to see you. Great B-Unit shots by the way.

AND MY NEW FRIENDS…

Ted and Mark,
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to be part of your film. It is a difficult task to bring together what you did for this shoot and from what I watched of the rough cut, you hard work paid off.

Ted: I can really see your theatre background in your work. Having had come from a acting background yourself you immediately brought to the production a passion and a vernacular the made the whole experience a joy. Thank you for giving me a shot at this.

Mark: From day one you went out of your way to make sure everyone was taken care of. From the Black Watch Pub to all the fun we had on the set you I saw you as the glue of the production. It was a joy to work with you my friend and from what I have seen from your special effects work, everyone at this fest is going to be blown away.

Tommy: My partner in crime. Great to meet you can wait to read your script the story sounds very cool.

And all of the rest of the cast and crew…
I am grateful to have met everyone one of you, not a bad apple in the bunch. The acting from the other performers is truly outstanding.

….I would write more but my lunch hour is over and work is calling.

Best of luck with the competition!

-David

Wow. What a nice letter David.

I cannot say enough of your own contribution, both on camera and off.

On camera, you are truly a delight to watch. You came in with such a great understanding of the role and blossomed on the set. You are so talented and versatile. I am awe of your many faces and hope (and know!) that we will work together again.

Off camera, you are so generous. I was taken by such surprise that first day you should up... carrying a huge box of donuts! I mean, really! I have never seen an actor bring craft services for the entire crew before! And then the next day you arrive with a Box-o-Joe! (It would have been nice if you timed that out a little better... The donuts were great but needed coffee!!!)

Seriously, you were such an asset to this production. And your professionalism is top-notch. I would recommend you to anyone!

Thanks again, David. I am proud to have worked with you and can't wait to see your face all over dramafest!

-Ted

DAVID! I'll tell you, it was awesome seeing you the time I was on set and you were! Short but sweet! Anyway, I certainly hope we have the chance to work together again! You are a really great guy and a great actor to boot! Thanks for the work you did on TTN, and on all of these dramafest flicks, as we get to enjoy the work you do. Thanks!

Ha ha ha! What a jokester. It's only Tuesday man!
I am glad that one of us can laugh at that!

Oh wait, what am I thinking... There are still 31 hours left!!!

No problem! :Drogar-Shock(DBG):

Well, in that case, im going to scrap Germanity and work on something else real quick. If those crazies in the 48 hour film festivals can do it, I can do it.
