Mark and Ted's Excellent Adventure in Drama

Hey there all!

Sorry to be M.I.A. the last few days... I had a few things come up which required my attention.

1. I recently switched ISPs and that was the biggest headache I could imagine! I was without internet all day on Friday. It was the most frustrating thing in the world. I just wanted to throw my computer on the floor and bash it into a several hundred pieces! (Anyone know the feeling?)

2. My wife's birthday was yesterday and I spent the entire weekend making her Queen of the Universe! I pampered her and showered her with special attention all weekend long. Needless to say, going online and visiting dvxuser was not part of the "special attention" that she desired!

And now, all is back to normal. Her birthday is over and I am back online!

So, how is the film coming along? Well, the film is looking great!

It has been an amazing road that Mark and I ventured down, picking up several talented dvxusers on the way (Kevin, Blaine, Brandon, Kyle, Alex, Tom, David, John, Herman and Tim... did I leave anyone out???).

We are so fortunate to have had this experiene. Regardless how the film does, it was certainly worth making... for the friends made along this journey will never be forgotten!

Thanks for holding down the fort!

We are in the home strecth!

-Ted

Oh! and might I add...

MARK'S VFX ARE SO FREAKIN' AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!

HE IS GOING TO BLOW SOME MINDS!

Yeah, it is compositing in nicely... You can't even tell that it's not real... nice job, Mark!

Hey Ted! Welcome back!

Tell your wife happy birthday for me...

Hi Tom, will do!

Just catching up on the thread.... I see that Mark has shared his beloved story with you all. Isn't that great? I believe that he shared that with me on our third or forth internet "date!"

Funny to think back on the time when many of you were "faceless" dvxers to me. I know, I know... I am getting sappy. It's just that it has been so long! I'm feeling very sentimental!

Ted, I sent you a PM about the project that I'm just now starting to work on. It's the one I told you about a few pages ago...

I also see that I missed quite a bit of conversation about Napa valley. Brings back a lot of memories for me. I used to ride my bike through the Napa valley (and steal grapes... but let's not go there. The wine that we made sucked! Obviously, the wine-makers of Napa know a thing or two that me and my friends did not!)

Anyway, I don't remember the route numbers that you all were referring to, but it is absolutely stunning there.

Oh! Speaking of Wine... that bottle that Rebecca shared at her neighbor's house sounds very nice! (gulp! $350 a bottle!)

Well changing domains can be a bit of a challenge. Glad to see you are back. The end of the tunnel appears to be in sight, let's see what it brings!

You know, that WAS part of the trouble... the other part was trying to get my wireless reconfigured! It was SUCH a pain. I was really starting to lose it. I mean, I had just spent 4 hours trying to get the internet back on my computer and then I had to spend 4 hours with that dang wireless router. It was just awful. I was near tears.

WooHoo! It is getting exciting to see this near completion! Thanks, Kevin.

I hate change...I put off changing from High Speed Cable to DSL for about six months because I didn't want to have to mess with the change. Once it was finally done, I kicked myself for waiting so long. DSL is about $20 a month cheaper. My cable was ALWAYS going down and I have yet to have a DSL interuption. Oh well, glad you got everything working again...

Ahhh! Another satisfied DSL customer! So good to hear that.

I just swithed from my cable to DSL and I have THE EXACT SAME SPEED and a$20/month savings! I dropped my cable altogether and now have Directv. I am SOOOOOOO happy that I made the switch. My entire bill dropped by $45! And cable was AGAIN raising their prices!

It was a pain but I, too, am glad that I finally did it!

THIS MESSAGE WAS BROUGHT TO YOU BY DIRECTV AND VERIZON ONLINE!!! :)

I know, I know! One thing at time. I JUST got HD service to my HDTV! (Imagine having an HDTV for a year and NO HD signal!)

But I have HD now and I LOVE IT!

TiVo is NEXT!

Perhaps a White Castle avitar would be the proper retort.

Some of you may wonder while reading this what In-N-Out and White Castle has to do with filmmaking ….

My dear reader….

It has EVERYTHING to do with filmmaking.
