35 MM adapters which ones the best?

I'm looking at getting a 35mm adapter for my DVX-100B, and there seem to be a lot of options out there, so im interested to see which ones you guys recommend. Also is it worth it to build your own with someone elses tutorial or just buy it premade? Thanks

P+S technik. Buy it you won't regret it. :2vrolijk_08:

I'd disagree. It's ten grand and very good, but you'd be better of spending 10 grand on a better camera since it eats light like crazy.

It does provide a very nice image and is fantastically well engineered, however.

Yeah, I wasn't serious.

Ok this has been discussed to death, and I know the feeling of which one to choose. This is the first question you have to ask yourself, what kind of look are you seeking? Every adapter has it's own look, not which one is better.:)

Choose one that fits your style, needs, setup, etc.. Some adapters are easier to setup. The P+S can take a little bit (and to be honest it's not worth the money, after purchasing it, than the lenses). Do you want static, non-static? How much weight can you afford to gain? Do you have the money to buy the extra accessories (monitor, follow focus, rail system, etc..)? Start off with that and then make your decision. Don't rush yourself. Or you can go down the road I chose three years ago and make your own. It's not hard especially with the information that's available now. :)

Good luck!

Chris

From what I've read the Brevis doesn't cut out as much light as the M2, it's only a little bit more expensive, it's lighter, and set-up time is nil, you can put it on right out of the box.

This looks like the more affordable route...

The only problem is... noobs like me wouldn't know how to make that.

Do you need a rail system for EVERY adapter? I thought there were some that you didn't need a rail system for. Plus, you don't REALLY need a follow focus, do you? I know some pretty novice focus pullers who can rack without one.

dude, Edweirdo's adapter has step-by-step instructions. any noob can build it and benefit from it. either build or buy, but at least DO something.
