This time up was SD as we used the TV camera in the spacecam they use on the news reports/car chases...with the crazy zoom that reaches into back seats.

Clips are 10-20 seconds per shot/location that you are looking for. We ran tape for two hours as we flew over LA so there's lots of footage.

Solomojo,

Real nice footage.

Any more shots looking straight down into downtown L.A.?

And how are you licensing the clips? For $100 per clip, can the clip be used as many times as we like?

Thank you,

Robert

Glad you liked it RobertE. The licensing is that you credit Vashifilms and no resale. Basically Karma License! Otherwise use it where you like.

I have a longer clip of the look down over downtown LA that includes before and after the one on the sample footage link. Thanks for looking!

Hey...how high did you have to be to shoot over LAX? Isn't there an airspace no fly zone or something like that?

Not so much a no fly zone as controlled airspace. Most major metro areas served by large airports sit under "Class B" airspace. The airspace is like an upside down wedding cake and you have to obtain permission before entering. The purpose of the airspace is to provide control over the aircraft in the vicinity of the large airport and thus reduce the chance of tangling with an airliner.

Yes it was definatley freaky flying/hovering over LAX as planes were landing beneath us...but made for great footage!

That shot of the plan landing is AWESOME! I've never seen a shot like that before. Well done! I wish I needed LA footage.

Hey jchenier...the shot starts 5 seconds earlier and follows the plane all the way through landing (close up) with the tire smoke on touch down and all!! woo hoo! The shadow beneath the plane as it lands is so odd...Ive never seen that angle of shot before either!
