hvx200 & m2 musicvideo

Pretty epic! I liked both the interior and exterior locals- nice lighting on the band portion.

One small criticism is that I'm not a fan of 'searching' for the focus unless it's a documentary feel- either get a clean rack or not, but it's just a personal preference.

Here's a video I wouldn't mind seeing in quicktime.

I don´t have a quicktime version on my computer right now but, you can download a better quality video on the bands website www.tacere.net

but they are avi and divx though
 
It looks like 35mm. Well done. I do feel as though you could have had more closeups of band members other than the 2 singers. It almost felt as though the project was some big ego trip for the singers and the other musicians are just hired guns. A couple closeups of the drummer and bassist could really help that.

I agree with you about the thing that there could have had more closeups of band members. But it wasn´t our decision. The head master of their record label said it had to be this way...Music industry is hard if you happen to be "only" a drummer or a guitar player :happy:
 
Moro, sait tämän sitten valmihiksi :) Hyvän näköstä on kyllä varsinkin kun ottaa huomioon ne teidän "pienet" vastoinkäymiset. Jibi-ajotkin näyttää yllättävän smuuteilta. Vähän tuo skarppauskikkailu ehkä ottaa silmään, mut ehkä se on sit vaan muodikasta :D

looked like a typical mtv music video, band playing in dark warehouse with some cutaways of members somewhere else, maybe youd didnt have much creative control on this cause thats what they wanted or w/e, but I really get tried of seeing videos like that...Id rather not even see a band performing in a video....I think the lighting is good for what it is though for sure, its just deffinetly not my style at all.....how big where the lights for the exteriors....im guessing at least 2k-4k hmis?
 
I think the EXT shallow focus worked really well. I definitely need to see a nicer quicktime to really comment though.

What kind of jib were you using? How did you deal with the focusing on the jib?

We used abc crane. We weren´t able to focus at all cause we hadn´t any follow focus and other focusing systems. We just planned every shot so that we didn´t need to focus.
