I got 2nd place in a commercial contest for JVC!

JVC held a make your own commercial contest for their JVC Everio. The creative assignment was to create a 30 second spot connecting JVC products with "the perfect experience." I have a site with 5 of my spots on it (simple in design as I don't know how to make webpages). The layout works best with internet explorer. It is the last one on this list.

For winning 2nd I got a $1,400 dollar JVC Everio camera (which I will sell since I own an HVX).

haha. I like the engadget one. Very funny. I think you have a good grasp on comedy and conveying something in a 30 second spot (not easy). You'll get a lot of work in that area.

Seeing your JVC spot in retrospect, I think the product being onscreen helps IMMENSELY. It just brought the commercial together (and made it make sense).

And congrats on winning second place.
 
Thanks guys :). First place gets to have theirs aired on SpikeTV and gets a cash prize of $2,500 dollars! I'm glad you liked my other spots on their too. I got runner-up along with a couple others in the engadget one and got a small prize for that (iPod Shuffle...those sexy new ones). The Chipotle "Dady" commercial grossed me $10K! I used that money to buy an HVX which I shot the JVC commercial with.


The Chipotle commercials and the Doritos commercial were shot with a GL2 and the engadget was done with a sony handycam (I had nothing else at the time ^_^)

MY guess is either the Hunting one or the Sex, Lies, No Video Tape one. Good job. Yours was the wedding one right?
