I filmed the first day of a music video shoot with the band GATJA last night. It was awesome. We only did wide shots last night and will do all the other band shots tonight. Here are some stills. We will remove the chords in the backlit shot in Post. HVX200 720pn Micro Redrock adapter, 50mm f1.4 lens.

Wow, these are fantastic. Once again you have amazed me and made me anxious to work with you on a project. Looking forward to more....gonna post any footage?

We have one more shoot in February where we will be getting all the story shot. The previous shoot was for all the band shots, and I will intercut them with story. The song "Resilient Butterfly" is about a girl overcoming an abusive situation. Their style is like a mix between Evanescence and Metallica. Check them out here: http://www.myspace.com/gatja

After that shoot, I have a guy doing the 3D work for the video. Lots of amazing things happening there! He did the intro for the MTV music awards two years ago. After that, I might post some footage, but most likely only stills for now.
Thanks for the encouragement Larry! I was pleased with the shoot!

My only advice would be to put some guitar and bass amps in the back to fill up the scene a little more, it looks kinda lifeless.

That is some good advice. We are going to have steam vents and things of that nature put into the scene, so hopefully the 3D will add some life. :-)

Good work matt. i like the second grab alot.

Can you pull focus with that monitor? is it sharp enough to be able to tell if the image is crisp?

The monitor's res is : Resolution: 800H × RGB × 480V. It uses 4x4 pixel interpolation and such to give a pretty good HD images. Close images are easy to get focused, but it a bit more difficult with distant images.
