Hey there,

This is a short documentary I shot in Switzerland. It was shot during summer, and it took me this much for me to finally sit down and edit it.

...it may be of a required taste (hand-held, color correction)

PS: I still need to do a version with subtitles

Hope you like it,

Very nice, Zan ! I've always loved Central European music, and the choice of handheld camera adds vitality and freshness to it. Perfect summer vid !

Hey thanks for the compliments Kristin. I know many who have a problem with hand-held. I'm glad you share the same perspective as I do.

I really liked that. The handheld helped add to the overall energy of it. A glimpse of street music like the guys in the New York city subways. Great, really enjoyed it. Also, excellent CC, added to the overall feel.

nice one!

nice one!

Question: What did you use for a mic? The sound was pretty good for an outside performance and all the walking around you did. Did you do much audio tweeking in post?

I was going to ask the same thing about the audio. It's superb, especially for being on the city streets. Great work.

OH Please do tell what kind of mic you used, and what type of audio tweaking you did... I'm about to do a short film with much outdoor location shots, and I'd love to know a bit more before I went out there...

I used to use that particular microphone with the SDX900 and was never overly happy with the results on documentary shoots. However, I have started using it with the HVX200 and am always pleased with how well the location audio turns out when I get back to the computer and start watching the dailies.

Good work on this -- I quite enjoyed it!
