I posted a more detailed description of problem in workflow forum. Why can I see all my P2 Store partitions on my Mac desktop but one of them goes missing in the finder?

Disk Utility shows all the partitions. Unmounting and mounting in Disk Utility does not make the missing partition show up in the finder.

I suspect what you're getting is the trick where the Finder shows both P2 cards, but you have to go to the Desktop, or in a Finder Window, go to Computer. But it's there on your Desktop if it's mounted.

I see it on the desktop but not in the finder. Are you saying to navigate to it thru "computer" rather than "desktop?"

I can see it on the desktop but if I navigate to the desktop thru the finder it does not show up in the list.

You don't actually go to Desktop in a Finder window to find volumes that are mounted. They'll normally show up in the left hand column of drives and volumes mounted. But there's a glitch with P2 cards in OS X, and you have to, in a Finder Window, go to the Computer icon at the top of the list to see them, sometimes. Usually they should just show up as a regularly mounted hard drive.

The one errant partition just doesn't show up in the mounted column on the left hand side of the finder. Next time I will try to navigate to it thru "computer." Thanks. Since I started this thread I had to reformat the P2 Store so I can't go back and try out your method this time.

Thanks for the tip.
