P2 Group Buy members list

The list is growing, and you/we are all about to plan an 8, or 16, (or bigger), we are all concerned.

Just seeing the list growing, gives a sense of what can be achieved:
by buying the SAME THING,
at the SAME TIME,
at THE SAME PLACE,

but not at the SAME PRICE (as an isolated buyer normally is)!

This list is public and can be read by everyone concerned by P2...

On Monday, will contact dealers you know to see what we can do at this stage. We would all buy from ONE dealer, offering the best.

As it seems we are in transition between 8Gig and 16Gig, would ask the dealer what is the wiser thing to do, like:
- 2 card for one paid (for 33 buyers)
- be advised to wait if an US 8Gig drop should be possible, then a "2 for 1".
- an introductory price on 16Gig.

As counselled here by many, we'll ask the dealer to forward our grouped buy intend to Panasonic, to possibly "get something".

Anyway, it is wise to open dialog with, and be advised by a motivated dealer.

Let the list grow, and eventually a dealer will propose an offer for X P2 bought, and we will know how many more members are needed to reach dealer's offer.

For this quantity, it is not our advantage to split the quota, so it will be for an US dealer.
For those Europeans who are concerned by that, please PM me.

Asked Spec-Comm to cooperate with us, for an offer, taking NAB2007 in account (16Gig?), and possible 8Gig rebate soon.

Unlike apparently everyone else, I'm still into the 4 gigers (don't have a dual layer DVD burner). You mentioned a goal of $720 USD for the 8 gig but what about 4? I'd probably be interested if it was under $400.
 
Hey David..maybe the efforts of 8GB cards are worth it to buy a new dvd burner
..i had to do the same decission and am happy now...!
