720 p or 720 pn

I have just recieved my hvx200 and after a lot of messing around i have figured out how to record using the firestore and getting it on to my mac
after all the updates blah blah blah

so now the fun bit shooting

i know at the moment you can not record 720pn on the firestore but if you want to do undercranking and overcranking can this be done just in 720p with out any changes in post?

There is such a lot of information out there about this camera some of it true some just a load of rubbish...

You cannot record 24pN out of firewire. The version 3.0 of Firestore software will allow you to shoot 24p in camera and strip duplicate frames to allow you effectively the same thing as 24pN. Yes, you can over and undercrank.

Get the HVX book, and the Bootcamp DVD. They will shorten your learning curve dramatically.
