ILLEGAL Director's Screening Jan 28th in LA

Brian, I (Alexander Nikishin) the camera op. will definitely be attending the screening, so you can update your original post and give my name some spotlight as well! =)
 
I just told Michelle that we are going, period... I saw some of the first posts and it caught my eye in a big way. Should be great to see it in that screen! I was just talking about the capabilities of the HVX to be blown up, just today... so these gorgeous visuals will be a great test.
 
Yeah, the movie looks great, story is great too - saw the private screening at WB. I'll be there to root you guys on.

I regularly commute from san francisco bay area to burbank and let me tell you - southwest from oakland to burbank (or SJO I suppose) is infinitely better.

In fact, jargon is literally right next to the burbank airport.

Alexander - that is GREAT to hear - Mr. Blonde, Alexander, M2, all the pieces are coming together :)
 
I want to attend but we'll see how our DramaFest entry works out. I may be working on it until the very end of the month.

LOL! No wonder! My graphic guy sent it to me and I thought it looked familiar. I sent him a bunch of screen caps since we didn't have any promo pics taken so I guess that template was the best to use. He did a great job on it though :)


Man, thanks so much you guys for making the effort to come out, especially those that are thinking about coming down from the bay area. It really means a lot! Brian and the crew at Redrock are simply the best bunch of guys around so come out, meet them and chat. I hope that it will be a great experience you guys!

I'll be there too Andrew, I checked out the sampler and I can't wait to see it on a big screen.
 
Guys - a quick update from Sundance 2007. Redrock was at HD House (www.hdhouse.net) showing the gear and ILLEGAL, where we also had a director's commentary DVD.

ILLEGAL was accepted for consideration to be distributed through iTunes via Shorts International. Hasn't happened yet, but great opportunity for Andrew, Alexander, Kenneth & Co.
 
Very nice! I heard great things from some friends out at Sundance about the response to the film and everyone's view on the Redrock. It's a shame I couldn't be there to help out.

Man! I WISH I as there again! Very proud of the HVX being represented well by a the great achievement that ILEGAL seems to be... can't wait to see it! I ws just talking to the B camera operator for DieHard4 today who was talking about wanting to get an HVX... he went on to teach me about lenses and I went on to tell him about a few things I learned here... he listened line a kid before x-mas clinching to my every word... it is nice to be recognized, good for you Pana! and good for all of you who are already creating stunning films with a camera 1/20 of what other features there get filmed on!!!

Would there be any chance of someone recording the post screening interviews etc..and posting them up as an mp3/podcast or even vidcast?

I'm from Australia...and can't quite justify the flight over! But would love to hear the chat about the use of the HVX etc.

I'm sure a lot of us that can't go would find it very interesting....would actually be good to have a bit of a podcast type section here at dvxuser for this type of thing. Thanks.
