-Trailer for feature- Damsel in Distress

It ain't easy making a movie. Congrats. If you are going to use text to describe the story, use a text easy to read. I would cut down on the text and space it out in between shots. I didn't understand what film was about. A girl missing and found later? Start the trailer out with "Based on True Events" (that will grab us). Show us the dilema (one of two choices the main character is forced to make, both being equally bad) and show some struggles of the main character trying to reach his or her goal. The trailer jumped from the girl to the crips and bloods, then we see its about a cop too? These are just random notes but would Show what the story is about. I hate to read and so do 99% of audiences. I have a prologue in my movie in the begining but its only once and 4 lines of text, in white Vendana letters. This looks like it could be a great film that needs a great trailer.

not bad.

new to the dvx? I can see your learning some of its unique features with the zoom in to creat the nice DoF.

however im sorry to say, but the acting was terrible, and unfortunately ruined some of what you created on camera for me. However it was interestingly lit. Might not be hollywood lighting, but was slightly expressionistic, whici do enjoy, as long as its done tastefully. Think about camera movement and framing next time. Some of the shots were slightly dry feeling, such as the profiles of the two kissing near the end. Learn to experiment with the framing and you'll definately be on your way!

Hm... the image looks stretched... and you seem to have framed a lot of shots with too much head room... some nice lighting looks though... the beginning looks 60i to me...

Really didn't like the text, too hard to read, maybe just the compression but still I had a hard time reading it and there seam to be alot.
Acting wasn't the greatest.
Mad props for getting out there and make a movie though!

Show don't tell, the frames of text really bore an audience. I think you have a really creative idea so good job.
