9 FPS and 17.99 FPS ? While I was shooting 720pn

Last night I shot a bunch of 720p/n footage. When I brought it in to FCP I noticed that a several of the clips needed rendering when I brought them into the timeline... yet all the others didn't. I checked all my settings and everything was spot on.
I then began to analyze each clip and realized that the "vid rate" of several of my clips were either 9 Frames Per Second AND/OR 17.99 frames per second??

I never took the camera out of 720p/n?
I brought all the footage in the same way and at the same time (through the camera/FCP).

This scares me. Has it ever happend to anyone else?

What was your "frame rate" setting set at? 18 fps is a valid frame rate for 720pN, if your scene file was set to 18. Don't know how you could get 9 though, that's odd.

I think it was a Final Cut translation problem of some kind? I ended up re importing the footage directly from the P2 card through the PCMCIA on a powerbook and it worked fine. Those same clips imported correctly.
?? : )
