Thanks to the flexibility of Jerry (fixitinpost)! He was going to be more of a casual BTS guy for us, and has stepped up to the much more involved Boom Operator. I'll just have my DVX100a on hand as a roving BTS camera ... quick group meeting to show everyone they just have to push the red button & WHAMO, instant BTS footage. :grin:

Hopefully from the two days I have no more than two hours of BTS footage to cut a cool video from.
 
Looking forward to it Norm, and YES, I finally made it home. What a trip, and now I'm leaving for your house in about 7 hrs.

Looking forward to tomorrow. Should be good fun. It will be very interesting to see all of the same cast from Semele in totally different roles.
 
Stefan, tell your wife a HUGE thank you for me ... I feel bad that she's not seen you for about a week, then you're heading right back out for the weekend. You'll have to tell her that you didn't have any fun without her, of course. :)

Yep, Jerry, it'll be cool to see everyone in different characters ... as well as a few of the same crew from SEMELE mixed in with some new ones ... should be a fun shoot for all. I'm super stoked. Just trying to get the sides all lines up for tomorrow & Sunday ... nothing like waiting until the last minute!

I know Stefan took a bunch, and couple of other people did too... I imagine they'll be coming sooner or later. Just wait till you see the steadicam setup. Remote follow focus, remote video monitoring, the whole nine yards.
 
Yeah, the follow focus was the bomb ... man, that thing was SO fast to react with the microwave transmitter, you would have thought it was hard wired! (um, that's about the most geek talk I think I've ever said).

So, a little 'happy' at the moment, as Stefan & I just rolled in from happy hour at a local restaurant here (I introduced he (scharky) and Ryan (235Studios) to the famous 'Catagory 5 Hurrican' drink that I discoverd in Miami) ... anyway, I'm doing the best I can to type right now, then getting to bed so I can be back up at 6am before craft services/catering gets here ... crew call at 7:30am! :)

Glad you liked the clip Mark (you too, Brandon, but you didn't say you'd vote if we just looped it, like Mark did, lol!), and you're going to LOVE some of the things you see in the next two shorts with Rebecca between our film & Ryan's SEMELE! :thumbsup:

Stefan's trying to see if he can get his head straight (I'm putting him up for the night), so we can get some BTS pics up in a bit before hitting the hay.

We've been slammed, and poor Stefan was asleep when I came out of the office to see if we could post any last night. I'm putting up a couple on the front page now, will get more up later tonight hopefully (some great BTS pics from yesterday).

BTW, that must have been fun, shooting in freezing temperatures. At least it was consistent both days...
 
Love the snow.... hearing we may even be getting more here shortly. It was absolutely FREEZING out there! Norm kept wanting me to "get into character" and be out there for awhile before my scenes. I was like, "um no, that's all right. I know I'll be just fine, thanks." :)
