This is a little video I made for my parents as a christmas present...
The Letus was damaged during the filming of the whole thing. There was dust on it and the vibration pattern was off. After I noticed this Quyen was quick to offer to repair my unit. Thanks again!
I used a Canon 50mm f1.4 for pretty much all the shots.

It's quite a big file so If you want to right click and download... 144mb (its 12 min. long) Here's the link for that: http://orth.lunarpages.com/~coryl3/HuntingtonLake.mov

DO you like?

This video is A++. I really liked it. Shot well and edited very well. Very nice flow. Your family must be so happy that you shot this. Wow... I'm running out of words... Fantastic...

I liked the footage. Lots of rack focus going on. I kinda wish there was more tripod stuff but that's just me. It was nice to hear some of the live sounds from time to time as well. Did you do any CC?

Good question, did you use/do any color correction? If at all possible, would you happen to know what your seetings were?
Man, I like this video...

Beautiful footage! Seems you managed to capture the mood very well - I'm sure your family will cherish it for years to come...

Would it be possible for you to post ~20 secs of full resolution footage from the LetusFE + 50f1.4 combo?
I finally got my Canon 30D dSLR and can now start saving for DV gear.
Using a Canon camera the 50f1.4 would serve a dual purpose for me...and the flip feature on the Letus is huge for me too - I'm very interested in this combination.
Is working without an aperture ring on the lens a problem?

Any help appreciated.

Very nice footage Cory! Wow as vacation videos go, this blows away most of what I've ever seen. What a great service you've done for your family, to capture them in such a great light forever. :) I really dig your camerawork, and I like the controlled handheld. Very Super-8mm! Yes, I too wish I could hear the birds and the nature sounds, footsteps, etc. Maybe you can post another cut with Nat sound. Either way, excellent work.

Wowwww...impressive. 10 Stars, two thumbs up, A+

And I noticed you used music from the Shin's CD Wincing the Night Away...it's strange...that CD doesn't come out until a week and a bit from now...

PaPa - wow, huge file size, no compression?
12 Min. H.264 High Quality, 144mb

NC17z - How do you know when the vibration pattern is off with you Letus35?

Thank you for your compliments... I knew my vibration pattern was off when the ground glass was visible when it was on. Mine was vibrating back and forth up and to the left. It is suppossed to go in a circle.
My settings were 24PA, mostly auto white balance, Detail level untouched at 0.
Yes there was CC added to about half of the shots.
I would have like to use a tripod for a few shots as well... But I didn't even have one up there. It was just the DVX and the Letus in a backpack.

Yeah I can post some uncompressed footage. But did you want it from the vacation footage when the adapter was damaged?
The aperture ring isn't a problem for me. You can flip the lens mount around so you can use nikons and their aperture ring still retains its function. I've also heard about stuffing the blade inside of the canon lens to get the function back.

The rock does look like a penis... that's why my mom was fooling around. She's a crazy girl.
