Kyle, the editing has been going well.

I took a few hour break to go visit my brother and will resume soon.

Well, I have my bags packed and am about to head to the airport.

Thank you Mark Johnson. Your generosity and kinship will never be forgotten. I look forward to our next project. I know that there will be one!

Kevin Halverston, Blaine Golden and Brandon Rice. You all put in a tremendous amount of work over the past 10 or so weeks.... thank you. Your work shines through!

Kyle and Alex.... great meeting you both. Looking forward to the next time!

Tom Marshall, David Concannon and John Hermann... it was totally my pleasure!

Scott Bullis, I hope that you are enjoying Spain! Go find her!!!

For me... I am off to my wife, my cats and my home (which I last saw the morning following Christmas!)

And I will be sitting in front of the NFL Playoff games this weekend, with my wife by my side and my computer in front of me..... editing!

Thanks again everyone who worked on this project (many who are working on their own films) and thank you to the support we were given by our fellow dvxusers. It's been grand.

Good luck down the stretch towards dramafest.

-Ted

My favourite film composer is Bernard Herrmann  It is, really.

I just got the VERTIGO soundtrack CD in the mail 2 days ago....man I love that soundtrack. It has to be one of, if not, the best soundtracks from old school Hollywood film scores

I wanted to also put in a huge thanks to Chris Real of CHEMHELP. Chris provided us with a beautifully equipped trailer that the airport allowed us to park on the tarmac. We were able to shoot from its roof both days of the Air Show. These shots are on Sunday when Tim and I caught B-Roll footage.

The trailer had every creature comfort including plenty of Tecate and Pacifico in the fridge.

Wow, I am out of town for less than a week and this thread has gotten so many posts that I will never have a chance to catch back up. At least this time I was smart enough to "not" have every new post trigger a notification on my cell!

Tim has done a great job on breaking down some of my setups so I probably won't go back and post any corrections unless someone has a very specific interest.

I hope to see a first edit pass in the next few days and it is looking like I will be involved in some ADR next week.

The grabs that I have seen posted here look pretty close to how I wanted the film to look so I am pretty happy with the outcome (considering we were working with a slightly "wounded" HVX for the entire shoot). I suspect that there will be very little, if any, color correction needed as I really tried to get our "look" in camera.

OK, back to a week of email catching up (ugh!).

That's definitely one of my Herrmann favourites, amongst the likes of Citizen Kane, Taxi Driver, Cape Fear and Psycho.
