Envision & RebeccaD Present "Where Silence Falls"

Hey Norm,
If Michael can't get his guy then I'm good to go for ya. I talked to my wife and she could spend those days at my parents and her parents. Just get someone else to hold the boom so I could just mix and I think it'd sound pretty dang good.

OR...the experience will underscore why I'm a director and not below the line, :-). I just figure if I can help ya out then I'll do my best.

Thanks Shawn, let you know ASAP. Just so I have a heads up, can you list the specific equipment, so if I need to I'll know what I still need to procure on this end?

No problem ... I'm in a giving mood right now as I just got a glimpse of hope with a great MUA who's interested in the short. Just holding my breath now as she'll let me know tomorrow if she can do it or not. :)

I've gotten about half way through it so far. I like it. It's a cool family-oriented story... I can see myself as the older brother, but I might be just a little too old for the part... lol

Update:

We are looking forward to this weekend, even though there have been a few glitches. We are still trying to nail down a make-up artist, but still have some options in the fire. I'm looking forward to working with a lot of the same crew and the identical cast. The scripts are very diverse, so it should be a blast.

Hey Norm and crew, just catching up on your thread. Sounds like you've had some excitement with the pressure of last minute hurdles. I hope that you've got them all covered now.

So, you shoot this weekend and Ryan shot last weekend, is that correct?

Sounds like fun! I love this stuff!!!

BTW, I didn't quite catch what the "you-tube" video comments were about. Can you direct me to the post?

Thanks and best to you all!!!

-Ted

Hey Ted, no worries on not staying on top of threads ... it's tough for everyone right now, as we're in development or production of our films. Not to mention your thread is tough to keep up with anyway, it's so dang popular! :)

Shawn, REALLY glad to have you on board ... thanks for being our sound guy on this, mixing for the best levels, etc.

We also secured, thanks to a referral from my producing partner on TRINITY RIVER, Michael Jones, Alison Binford as our MUA/Hairstylist. Alison is VERY respected in the area for her makeup expertise, and comes with over 25 years experience with makeup, FX, and hair!

We've got all our key crew in place, and have our first cast/crew call tomorrow at 8am on Saturday, scheduled to wrap by 6:30pm.

Rebecca's going to be DEAD tired (hopefully not too much so), as she then has to scoot out to meet up with her band, and she'll be performing at a gig from 9pm to Midnight tomorrow night ... then get to bed so she can be back on set for a 7:30am crew call / 8:00am cast call ... with Sunday finally wrapping at 5:30pm.

I'm putting Stefan up for the night on Saturday, since he's traveling down from Seattle for this (3+ hour drive, one way), so I'll be taking him to Happy Hour that night to Cactus Ya-Ya ... killer food & good drinks.

I'll also try to get some BTS shots, etc. up tomorrow night after the first night's shoot.

WHOO-HOO, here we go!
