Music Vid - Goodbye Tomorrow

also if you don't mind me asking how much did you make off this project ?

thanks man!
well, magic bullet has been great for me, i'm way happy with my purchase.

and i made a whopping $0 off this project, but i made 5000 XP off it. :)

With all that money you can now live off comfortably for the rest of your life. :)

I find that the one thing that makes a big difference in MB is the black diffusion simply because it creates that promist look.

i love this video. ive watched it like 12 times. great work.

Tjohara is no doubt very talented. I would like to see a narrative to see what he could do in that arena.

jeez thanks guys, I'm planning on making a doc within the next couple years, but I have no plans for a narrative just yet.

I have to tell you again, great video. Please tell the band that I can't get the song out of my head. I mean that in a good way. This Video is some of the best work I've seen in a long time. I'm so glad I bought a DVX.

that is a very very good music video and shot without an adapter too. CC was brilliant and framing, lighting was spot on. One of the best Ive seen here and for a second video, that was amazing. I'll be doing one only for some XP too this week with some friends and a fellow DVX user. Well done!

00:03:17 shot of the girl walking out the club, how is that lit?, daylight? you got a light through there or what.

also the close up on the girls face sat at the table is that daylight?

2nd video? man you gotta be kidding me that's amazing.

you have a gift my friend.

Question on the synched slo mo performance. So did you have a sped up version of the song? Was it to a certain percentage that you new you would drop the footage down to? How did you plan all that? In fact, what kind of planning did you have? Storyboards, etc.? Looks terrific!

Hey Man

Youve got a good eye for music videos. What are you shooting with to get a good motion affect on your shots? My only suggestion would be a little more camera movement on your drummer shots. I thought it was pretty well done though.

nevermind to my previous question about your motion affect. I went back and read the rest of the blog. For some reason vegas has a better motion affect than my avid and I have tried every setting I can think of to.

NC17z - dude, the DVX ROX! and so does the band, they were really cool guys.

borgkingkong - hey thanks man, can't wait to see what you guys come up with!

adam powell - The shot of the girl walking out is lit with a single home depot light (one of those clip on ones) and to get the dramatic light washing in, i used a light rays effect. At the table, i've got a 1K light across the room aiming at her face, and then a clip-on home depot light on the other side, which is very subtle.

Bionicpix - yes, i sped the song up (i can't remember what percentage it is off the top of my head, but I found it on these boards) actually every techie thing I know is because of this site! I didn't have much planning for this...the band and their manager came up with all the ideas, i just shot it and told them what to do, and i tried to guess what they wanted the best I could.

Ryan Harrell - make sure you shoot at 1/120 shutter speed, it's crucial!

Man that is one hell of a video! I have watched it tons of times. That might also be one of the best hooks I have ever heard! Great band and a great video. I love the slow mo looked great. I need to find the post about speeding up the audio for the video. By guessing could you speed the audio up to 120% and slow the video down to 80%? I'll have to research this. Again great video, and keep on doing what your doing man!

Thanks for the replies. No doubt, the DVXuser board is awesome! :D For me, this is one of the best all around videos posted, so ya put all those hours of reading to good use! Cheers.

Hey, another question since you're also using Vegas. What's the effect used on the drummer for certain shots and also on the singer when he sits down at the table with the girl. It's looks like somekind of posterized-time thingy. Thanks! Still watching! :D

Stunning work! Do you mind posting a before and after magic bullet still? That might help some of us here (me) alot. Thanks
