Should I buy a used dvx100 or pay 1,000 more for a 100b?

ive had all three cameras because of various financial states. started with a b, downgraded to a 100 then went wiht the a. honestly, not all that much difference in my opinion, but if i had to pick one that was priced right and had the right features, id go with the a. one thing i like about the original and the a is that they still have the time lapse feature which for some reason the b does not have. anyway. i have a "a" for sale. check it out.

Here's my take

I'd be more inclined to get a used DVX100 and save the money. You are probably going to want to upgrade to HD in a few years anyway and the resale value of your DVX100B MIGHT not be as high since most others are going to be exploring HD options which will come down in price by then. Of course, if you need slow shutter speads or any of the upgrades found in the 100B, you might need to spend the extra anyway.

Either way, the extra $1000 could get you better audio gear or tripod, etc...

Definitely A or B since you can use gain in 24p and the mech zoom is dampened as well as 14 or so more features. Personally I like new cameras, just because of all the things that can go wrong with cameras vs. tripods or lights. But if you are very confident of the camera's history, know the owner, trust the owner, and getting some kind of money back guarantee, then used is an option. That said, any of the DVXs can give you better performance than most cameras in their current price range.
