DVX100b sellers in Romania?

Hi everyone. Does anyone know of a retailer or authorised dealer in Romania for the dvx100B? I also have a collegue in america who is willing to purchase one for us, the question is how to actually get it into Romania. So does anyone know a dealer in America willing to ship to Romania in complete safety? I have searched on Romanian websites, but being english my romanian isn't the best. Thanks for any advice, happy 2007!
 
Always check www.panasonic-broadcast.com to locate a dealer, i just looked for an authorized dealer in Romania and this one came up:

Check with them, wether they sell DVX100BE, if they don`t, no worries, you can safely order online through www.creativevideo.co.uk, they are AUTHORIZED panasonic broadcast dealers in UK. + ordering from USA would be more expensive for ya, there are shops that sell PAL DVX in USA, like: www.bhphotovideo.com. Is Romania in EU? Because if it is, you won`t even have to the VAT for your order at www.creativevideo.co.uk only if your ordering for business use though :) Hope this helps, any questions, don`t hesitate to ask.

EDIT: i have been reading up on PAL and NTSC in the forums, does it really matter if i buy a NTSC camera for use in Romania (a PAL country?) as it seems to be a lot more simple for my US contact who is purchasing the camera to get it in NTSC).

the point of the camera is to shoot low budget movies and possible wedding video's etc. thanks again for helping out a n00b!

I would'nt buy anything from Romania...
Romania's reputation on Ebay is the WORST in the world
Be extremly careful
 
If you want to shoot for PAL, buy PAL. No point going through standard conversion. Globalmediapro is not based in Romania and they have a good reputation.
 
thanks for the replies/advice everyone. I am still searching high and low for an authorised dealer in America that has a dvx100b (PAL) in stock NOW, there is one company B&H that can order one but their site says it would take 7-14 days for them to receive it. Hopefully i can find a company with one in stock. Once again thanks for everyones replies, nice to know theres a good community here.

I would have to agree on that particular point, but as an englishman in Romania i have to say its one of the most beautiful countries on earth, and the average Romanian is friendly as hell. Also expect to see some major contributions to the film industry coming out of Ro over the next few years! cheers.

Yes!
Absolutely nothing against the country and 99% of the population, but Romania has a terrible mafia going on and its a plague all over Europe. Its the 1% of scum that spoils it for the rest of the country and great people living there (expect the vampires...!)
 
Apologies again for re-posting on my own thread and thus bumping it, but it looks like i will now be ordering with either creativevideo.co.uk or with expandore.com. in singapore. I had serious reservations with the customer service with PBR ltd Romania, shame to say that, but its true.

any futher comments or suggestions more than appreciated, especially for any authorised US panasonic dealerships with a dvx100B PAL IN STOCK and ready to ship immediately. thanks people, kind regards!
