And there you have it!

That's what bothered me beyond belief.

It ruined the trailer for me.

Completely.

You need a better "richer" sounding voice actor.

This one sounds way way too American.

This should be easily fixed though.

The look of the film is simply spectacular!

And, while some say the actors look Italian... O.K. soooo..... A great many number of Arabs, Jews, and Italians could stand together and look like brothers and sisters from the same Mother and Father.

Point being, Great Job Casting as well!

P.S. Part of this could be due to a miss match in dubbing. It seems a bit canned and like the ambient background sounds are too far back and perhaps crushed a bit.


Can't wait to see the whole short!

umm... theres no need to lie.

it's obviously not your first short film. the footage looks great but from the trailer i'm not really interested in seeing the full version. somehow the story didn't interest me. nice feel none the less.

It's obvious why? It IS my first film.
I've been working in major hollywood movies for years as an editor. It just rubbed off, that's all.

And feel free not to be interested in it. It's ok, really.

camera: Arriflex BL4
stock: KodaK D50 and D250


Actually Kodak saw the short and liked so much that they are screening it in their theatre in NY. I'm so excited.
 
I think it's neat that the guy can make something like this his first time out. Although I don't consider it.. the first time. If you surround yourself with movies 24/7 like most of us do you can usually make a movie better than the average bear. PLUS, I'm sure the guy knows people if he needs help he can ask advice.

But Evan is right, it's because I work in this business that it's a bit second nature to me.

And truly, the favors I received were IMMENSE. That's why I was able to do it with really little money.
 
Hey, you know a lot of us have the same opportunities, believe it or not. And, we still don't take advantage of them. Just because you have favors you can use doesn't make this any less appealing.
