My Tokyo angel - a SDC production

Hi spidey, we will be shooting 1-2 days in West Tokyo and a further 1-2 days central Tokyo. Shoot me a PM if your interested. I will PM you my mobile email.

OK so here we are. The script has taken a pretty solid form, but lacks something I am not clinching in the final product. Charli has kindly offered to cut the final draft for me and thus this is now a co-written production.

This is great as production is almost upon me, locations, dates etc all in order.

The script will definetely be a strong point with Charli adding the missing ingredients.

The pressure, the pressure. I'm just going to take what you've written and just
add to it some, take out some, but it will still be the same but different.
Boy, hope that clarifies it. I need to go work on it now.

I just finished a draft for Noel. It has a beginning, a middle and an ending.
Noel gave me a good foundation in which to start, but I pretty much took off
running from there. This is one COOL story.

Each time I get to the ending, I cry. I read the entire script to my hubby and
we both cried. This is a

TRUE DRAMA

in every sense of the word. I hope Noel likes it.

Have to agree, this story ROCKS! Great work Charli! We are almost done.

I had a chance to confer with Noel today and here is where we are. Today I
will finish the FINAL DRAFT of, "My Tokyo Angel." I will also be sending Noel
a LOCKED-DOWN PRODUCTION DRAFT in which the scenes are numbered and
the speaking characters are highlighted.

The last draft I will send is a DIALOGUE DRAFT for the boom operator. This lets
him/her know who's speaking, a great cue in for the sound guy.

I came aboard just as a script advisor. My functuntion had been to just give Noel
notes on his script, which I did up until Noel's 5th draft. There comes a time when
you have to just let go of a story, you either are too close to it, or you just can't
seem to cross over the line and finish it. That's when you either put it away or
give it to someone else.

Noel recognized he had set the foundation but he couldn't cross over. To his credit
he was gracious to let me have a stab at it. Because he had laid such a strong
foundation, for any screenwriter this was an easy task, I simply followed the map.

So today, I will finish the little nuances and spurce up the story just a little bit
more. Each time I work on it, tears well up in my eyes. This story has conflict,
reflection, and a satificatory conclusion. This is a true drama that is easily
identifiable.

I hope as you watch it, that it will mean something to you. It has for everyone
who's read it. Thanks, Noel, for providing a good place to start. For a writer,
it was easy.

OK looks like the script is done. I will be frantic on storyboards, and translation this week. Shooting starts next weekend. Im really excited. Excellent work Charli.

The credits have changed in the original post to reflect the final writting efforts.

Now shown as:

Story by: Noel Evans
Screenplay by: Charli Just

I wrote this as sweetly and with as much depth as I could muster.
The theme of this story is:

APPROVAL

Hey ncje, good luck with the upcoming shoot. I am glad that you got Charli involved. I was disappointed to hear that she wasn't involved in dramafest.

Looking forward to your work! (as I've said before, I always love reading your posts!)

-Ted

Well, Theo, I fell into this dramafest. I wasn't going to sign up to even write for
anyone, just sort of turned out that way. Noel is a great guy to work with
and dang, he kept catching my little mistakes, ugh.

The script is finally locked and ready for translation. It will be intresting to see how
this story translates into Japanese, but here's the thing, the story is universal.
Doesn't matter what language, what country, the heart of the story is very
identifiable. You'll get it no matter where you're from.

That's awesome, Charli. I can't wait to see it!

I am sorry that a quick visit to Santa Cruz isn't going to work out for me. Too busy editing!!!

I will be living here one day soon and I look forward to bringing my wife down to meet you and your family.

Be well.

Congrats again!

-Theo

Theo - I know how busy editing can be and you are under a deadline. You and your family will always be welcomed in my home. Be sure to take off for a weekend and come down, I'll have a sweet room with an ocean view waiting for you.

Tomorrow I'm going to see if I can hit the cliffs over yonder and watch an international surf competition, you got to love SCruz, baby.

Let me know when you get back home.
