DVX batteries on the HVX?

[mdslammer]

Hi Guys,

I was just wondering if the batteries (2 of which I bought from this site) I have for my DVX100A can be used on the HVX-200?

Sorry for the dumb question.

Thanks.

Yes. But they won't last as long.

David,

Thanks for the answer. How much less than the DVX and why?

HVX uses more power than the DVX.

iam planning to buy the dvxuser batteries for my HVX and found this thread in a search,

so are these still the longest lasting batteries for HVX but dosent last as long as they do on a DVX ?
if no, what are the best batteries for HVX now ?

thanks
krishna.

They are the best batteries for the HVX. The HVX is more power-hungry than the DVX does. But either way, the better the battery, the longer it'll last (in both products).

This weekend we used two DVXuser batteries while shooting with the HVX and they worked GREAT!

Has anyone else had a problem with the 5600MAH DVXuser battery "slipping" and the HVX powering off? Or is that just me?
