Unbelievable but true - Broadcaster asked for mxf delivery

In the German Canopus forum a guy just asked how to export his 3D animation work to DVCPro25 (why 25 and not 50??). The broadcaster in Mainz (ZDF?) wants the delivery in MXF (P2) format!

By the way - if it's the broadcaster I guess then it's the one who initiated the new P2 Viewer (still unannounced).

It would be sooo nice if we could deliver our work as IT files (read: P2 folders).
 
good to hear. We just delivered to BBC and ARD on tape and it is such a pain to bring these big BetaSP decks still.... ;)
 
It would be interesting to know how they keep the pipeline working over there(probably ZDF..yes..)

Cause they wount be happy for some formats(like all the 720s )if they work with avid....any kind of DV shouldnt be a problem thought if its AVID..!

I assume that the didnt need DVCPRO 50 as the source is probably done on minidv, so there would be no winning in putting it up to 50...just a guess..!
