Mariachi Film Festival Finalist Shot on DVX

g'day, i thought this film was cool and pretty well done, was it tough to get the permissions to shoot in the supermarket?

i liked the comeback at the end to the images from the beginning which at the time seemed irrelevant but you tied it up nicely. it would also be a challenge to try making a film about a guy who is bored with life without the film being boring as well but you managed it nicely.

Hey,

Thanks a lot Cleavage 2. It was surprisingly easy to get in the supermarket. We asked and he just gave us the key and said we can shoot through the night and we just need to make sure we lock up when we are done.

And thats why I love small towns.

Hey eliotbaring.
I just watched lo-bi as well as your other flicks and have say I am really impressed. Lo-bi is one of the best films i have come across on tihs forum. I can't beleive it only cost $70 to make.

GREAT WORK MY FRIEND

great film man, thoroughly enjoyed it.

well acted as well, good enough to keep me interested the whol way through.

wut did u use for sound? There was tons and tons of noise. but the vocal quality was great.

Hey thanks alot. Interestingly the cast is made up of teachers at the school i teach at.
I used a rode NT3 condensor mic but as the air con in the supermarket was on a timer i ended up having to dub pretty much the whole film in Cubase SX which was not stable.

I like yer style, dude.

This is one of the films I see on here that begs to be shot on film. Meaning it's so well made that the only thing truly holding it back is that it isn't 35mm or super 16.

Hey thanks for the kind words. I would say that the HVX-200 with the redrock m-2 is all that is missing. Both of which I know own so maybe i can turn it into a feature and use those.
