For what it is worth, (dont laugh too hard here)

My wife found a Doggie Rain Jacket at my local Marcs store, her idea was that it might fit over my HVX200. I laughed at the idea at first, I stopped laughing as I slipped it over the camera. It fit perfectly. The only thing missing was a hole for the mic mount, (I neatly cut the hole and sewed the edges up, Poof, Instant rain/Snow slicker for my camera.

It is (low key) dark blue nylon outside with a thin reflective silver stripe and a fake wool lining. (The wool actually keeps my hand warm and toasty too). There is plenty of slack to access the focus/zoom ring.

The hole Where your dog's head should go through actually fit snugly around my lens hood almost as if it were made for it. This particular jacket straps to the underside of your pet/camera instead of being closed around the belly and having sleeves for legs. Therefore it is open on the bottom which is perfect for accessing the controls and the obvious camera shoe mount. I sewed on a little excess material from another I bought to seal up the underside but for light duty weather-izing, three bucks just bought me a new Pet-a-Brace rain cover for my HVX200.

I sprayed the outside with some "Camp Dry" for extra security but it is water resistant to begin with. I just bought all the rest of them including a small one for my old Gl1. iM giving them out to my friends for belated xmas presents.

BTW.... The large size fit over my 5 inch Sony field monitor like it was made for it.

Size for the HVX is small to medium sized dog.....

Ok Ill stop, I just love a good deal that works.

Ok, Here are a few quick picks. This is a new poncho so I have not attached anything to the underside to seal it up, but you'll get the Idea.

It really does seal around the hood nicely and Because the wool on the interior is fake, it does not absorb water should it get a little wet.

Now this wont get me through a severe storm, but for general Snow and moderate rain, it works well, especially with a couple mods to the underside to seal it up.

Oh, and yes, that is one of the 5600 Batteries from the site here, I love em.

That was one of the most creative and honest disclaimers on the box and Battery. If you have not seen the disclaimer, I guess youll have to buy one to get the humor Eh?

HOpe this is OK to upload these pics and nobody gets mad. Im kind of a Newb here.

Enjoy

P.S. Next I guess Ill have to post my 16 foot Monopod. (it is a collapsable aluminum flagpole that goes from 16 feet down to 4 you can buy for 40 bucks on-line, It works perfect right out of the box with a mounting shoe and a couple self tapping screws)

Outrageous, what if you want to look at your LCD? What then, huh? I suppose next you'll be telling me that dogs don't have flip-out monitors!

Of course they do, Thats on the Head-Part of the dog man!

My beagle has really big ears. I just used a little Epoxy and Velcro to mount the LCD to the backside of them. In fact, I can A/B roll/switch using both ears. Nice thing is, they stay rain and weather resistant unless I whistle really loud.

Thats why this does not include that.

Boy, the nerve of some folks............hee hee hee

Have a good one
