So, what's going on here? Is there some movie that a bunch of members are filming together besides the drama fest short?

It just sounds like it's bigger then a short.

No, this is just a DramaFest short that Ted and I put together after getting to know each other during the HorrorFest. We've been fortunate to get a good group of guys here in the L.A. area interested in the project and the enthusiasm has sort of been contagious. Thus, in addition to Kevin, Blaine, Tim, Brandon, Tommy and David we've got Kyle and Alex flying in from Nebraska and Scott driving down from Oakland and have a cast spread between Northern and Southern California. I have to give a lot of credit to Blaine (Line Producer) and Kevin (Cinematographer) because they both have amped up our shoot to a pro-level. And, of course, we have a world-class stunt pilot devoting his time and aircraft to the film along with having the world's largest privately-owned public-use airport behind the project allowing us to shoot on site. So, hopefully it will look "big" on the screen!

This all sprung from an idea that just started gathering moss as it began rolling (how's that for a stupid metaphor?) I think its really a great illustration of the power of enthusiasm and the joint passion of filmmaking shared by the members here.

Its also going to be brutal. After sorting out some cast conflicts it looks like we've got a 14-hour schedule for Friday. ... In other words, a normal day on a Jack Daniel Stanley set :)

Brutal? Eh, that's nothin! I've edited three nights straight... and shooting's a lot less strenuous on the brain :) We'll handle it....

And Mark, I should at least be there Sat. for the 2nd Unit stuff! Still working on trying to get Tues. and Wed. off work, I'll have to play that by ear, but I'll be there for sure on Thur. and Fri. Noa is coming down with me on Fri as well!
 
Cool, dude. Since Kyle and Alex are abandoning ship I really hope you can be there to shoot 2nd Unit on Sat! Would really like to see Noa again too. Great guy and tell him I have more vocabulary quizzes for him.

I'm stranded at the Marriott Airport hotel in K.C. and spent a boring New Years Eve watching the Descent on a portable DVD player. whoopee.

Hey Mark, I'd love to stick around man but I was nervous to skip school. I'm sure you understand the importance of education ;)

Yo Blaine,On my Treo here in Phoenix. Saw that Kyle is on line .... Kyle, give Blaine Alex's email so he is added to crew mailings ok? He can be listed as either fx team or grip Blaine, Bullis is picking me up and we'll go look for new tire for my car and head to la la land a.s.a.p! Kyle you will get an educashun here this week!

haha I told him. He's looking forward to it. I got you covered for 2nd unit on Sat. no worries man. Still making tomorrow and Wed. free will be difficult, but I should be able to make it happen.
 
Tomorrow's the day, hopefully I make it! We'll see how work permits...

Speaking of dramafest... I may have a little something up my sleeve! Noa and I came up with an idea for a really interesting short... We'll see :)

Yeah.... Jetlag. I am currently living in 3 different time zones! Crazy! Plus, I haven't slept since the NYE show last night!!!
