u question on P2 to minidv tape

ok, I tried the search but I didnt see anything that addressed this problem.....

I recorded some interview footage shot in 480/24pa to my P2 card and I was wondering if there is a way to pop a minidv tape in the camera and internally dub the P2 footage to the tape..... I need to deliver the content on minidv and I very well cant send this compadre my P2 card

ANY help/advice would be greatly appreciated

No, you can only dub HD down to the DV tape drive (as DV). Can't copy standard-def (either DV, DVCPRO, or DVCPRO50) to the tape in-camera.

So how does one go about editing DV footage from P2 cards? I have used Raylight to convert some test DV footage from the MXF files on the P2 Card. I bring the resulting .AVIs into Vegas and... uh oh... audio track only. This is especially interesting that Vegas only sees the audio track, as I can playback the .AVI just fine in Windows Media Player.

Any thoughts?
